After seeing some BB-8 reviews online, I knew that I wanted it. The price tag is a bit hefty but if you have any gift cards saved up, it's definitely worth the buy. I was surprised by how much BB-8 acted like a real droid with its own mind right when I first put him on the charger. The size is a bit small considering the price, but the detailing and material makes BB-8 look great nonetheless. Steering BB-8 is relatively simple once you get the hang of it and its always fun to play with!

I Love the new Sphero BB8 Droid Toy. My only reservations are the price. It's very steep for what it is. Furthermore, this doesn't work well on carpet so keep that in mind when you purchase it. Otherwise, they did a GREAT job on this little guy. Glad with purchase.

I give this product five stars because it's exactly what I expected it to be. I will say, it can be a little difficult to control at some times, but once you get used to it, it's really fun. And setting it on patrol is great. Just sit back and watch it zoom around.

My husband loves it. He takes it to his office and lets it patrol. His coworkers are all jealous. We like the little moves it does especially when it's trying to figure out where it is. The only thing we wish it had was a return to me button to call him back.

Big Star Wars fan! As soon as I saw some of the videos online of this little guy I knew i had to have one. Was a little smaller than I was expecting but it still loads of fun. Setup and operation are a breeze. A must for any Star Wars fan even with its costs.

Smaller than I thought it would be and less refined, control wise. Not sure what they could do to improve it. It's a pretty simple device for the price, but it's also fun to play with for all ages!

Got it and run it around the house for my 2 year old he loves it! It's a little hard to control and for a toy quite expensive. I expected a little more for the price I quests you could call it a fans toy really. Fun but I can't recommend based on price.

I received BB-8 as a Christmas gift and couldn't be happier with it. For starters, it is well packaged. The toy was well secured and it's clear that time and effort was put into the details. The device is well made and has a decent weight to it. The USB charge is fairly quick and after downloading the app for free you're good to go. So the main question, how does the device operate with the app: Great! I haven't ran it through long durations of use yet but I have put it through the paces. It does take a short time to get accustomed to operating it but it is responsive to your commands and physical obstacles. It has become my cat's favorite toy/terror over the past month. It should be noted that even when not in use, it does make a great table decoration when BB-8 is nestled in it's stand. Overall, very pleased with the product.

While the price tag is hefty, so was my love for BB-8, and the heart won out in the end. Smaller than expected but endlessly fun, my only complaint was that if my phone's audio is other occupied then you cant hear his adorable voice

Bought as a Christmas present for my 16 year old. Well he thought it was cool, he quickly became bored with it. It does not have that many features. My two 10 year olds love it however and will play with it until the battery dies.

I would say that this is a very nice droid. It cruises around and does it's thing, it is good on the battery life. The antenna has already broken and cannot be fixed, but the little one stayed intact. It isn't necessary to keep his head on, but BB8 without a head is not as fun. It does pick up any dirt/dust that is on the floor, carpet vinyl or hardwood, so you need to maintain it by cleaning gently with a tissue. The only things I could say would make it better, are having him project the hologram himself, not through the app, and having him talk himself, not through the app. The app is good for letting him go on search mode, and it tells you what he thinks things are. Driving is a bit of a challenge. Other than that it was worth the money.

My son loves the fact that he can control it on his Ipod. It was smaller than expected but he was not disappointed, I was just surprised. The head does fall off if it runs into anything but easy to put back on.

Arrived packaged well, everything secure in a heavy presentation quality box. After opening and shaking to wake it up, proceeded to charge it for 3 hours. Found out that it does not like to charge off a normal USB port and will require a high power port or 2w+ phone charger to charge in 3 hours. Once it was charged I paired it with my phone and had a blast for about an hour before it needed charged again. It is adorable the way the head "looks" around and the sounds it makes (they come from your phone not the toy) but you do loose interest in it after a few days. Hopefully they add more to it with software updates soon. Otherwise it is a great valus for what you get and is fun to play with.

my9 y/o daughter was excited to get the bb8..she opened it and immediately started to play with it..she had a lot of fun with it and is very easy to use. the only bad thing is the battery life

A définite must have for a die hard star wars fan, as in the force awakens movie, this Droid is fast and a nice gift or present to self... Works great. Only drawback, he could of been bigger.

My husband really seems to enjoy playing with BB-8. I was a bit skeptical that it would hold his attention for long or that it would be worth the money but Christmas is not about the practical so I bought it for him. I have to admit, it is pretty cute when it comes poking around corners and making its robot sounds. We assume the head is being held on by a rotating magnet. This part is really cool because it makes the toy look and move like the movie character. The only thing I think would be more fun is if the person controlling it could also control the sounds it makes. Incidentally, my husband had no problem getting the app downloaded and up and running right away.

Everyone of every age LOVES playing with this! The app is easy to install and figure out. Just wish it was a little larger, like the size of the cheaper version that comes with a remote.

This is definitely worth the money! So much fun! Although it does not have a ton of features in the free app, this product still feels like a pet. Plus it does not go to the bathroom.

This is going to be THE hottest item for the holiday's!!! It is very fun and very easy to use. BB-8 is going to be a breakout star of the new films and you get to drive him around!

A lot of fun to play around with. Not quite as smart as it appears in the commercial and all the sound comes out of the app. It's also small. However, it is a neat little toy.
