Great little app and device to play with for any juvenile or adult. It is smaller in size then expected but still lots of fun!

Well we love it It is our little cyber pet! When I got it I thought the sound would come from the robot not the phone app.

Product works as advertised. Would be nice if the sound came from the droid itself and there was a separate remote option. It is also a little overpriced in my opinion.

A star wars droid that can be controlled from my iPhone?!?! Yes please! It rolls, it wanders, it beeps and boops. plus, look at it! it's so cool! It takes a bit of practice to get used to controlling it and I did find that it doesn't roll as smooth on soft carpet. On harder surfaces, it's a blast and super fast. by far my favorite is the explore mode with lets BB-8 roam around freely and bump into things. The head stays on via magnet which has a tendency to fall off if it tries to go down any steps so be careful! Also, if you get one, slowly try to remove it's head and it freaks out spinning super fast.

My kids and I love this! Perfect Christmas present for the whole family. The app has a lot of fun ways to play with BB-8 and it was a huge hit on Christmas morning.

The item does what it says. It takes a bit to get used to when you first start. It is very cool how the robot responds to voice and commands. It would be a better if he spoke in English and not just robot gibberish. Easy to set up on a smart phone.

My kids love playing and interacting with BB-8. Little hard to control at first and head pops off a little easy but once you get used to it it is enjoyable.

really fun robot, is really expensive, the antennas are fragile so be careful.

If you're a Star Wars fan, this is almost a must buy. The droid connects with your smartphone (must have a smartphone or the droid is just a rock). The android app updated now, so you can control BB-8 with your voice (the iphone app always had this feature). You can set BB-8 on patrol, or you can directly control his movement. A few this that would make this even better: (1) a speaker inside BB-8. Currently, all the sound effects come from your phone. (2) the head is held on by magnets, and can pop off if you run BB-8 into a wall too hard. Stronger magnets would be ideal.

Was able to get this one as a special deal as a Deal of the Day, I believe, for a very low price. Had wanted one since seeing it some time ago. Just didn't want to spend the money of the suggested retail price. It charges with a USB cord. While on the charging stand it will sometimes move the head around as if BB is awake. Position his head where the three blue lights show up, point those lights towards you and it will appear as if he is looking around in your direction. Operating BB requires downloading an app. I have only downloaded it onto an apple device and it works fine. Was able to play one of the movies that interacts with BB. It was fun to watch BB interact with the Star Wars movie but it was hard to hear his sputters and beeps over the volume of the movie. BB moves with his head staying upright. Controlling his movements takes some practice. It works as expected on hard surfaces like a wood or vinyl floor. The BB personality does come through via the movements and noises. I am very pleased. It stays right on my desk as a novelty item.

Santa gave this toy to my 10 yr old and he was thrilled. It's perfect for that age and beyond. It is not too complicated or hard to figure out. Right out of the box it is ready to roll! Even adults love this thing. The one watch out is that it takes 2-3hrs to charge, so you won't be able to play w this immediately. Santa realized that in advance and was sure to charge it, because when we opened it up, it was fully charged. It seems pretty durable too because of the simple engineering. I've got a 2 yr old that loves to hunt it down and test its limits.

This little guy it a little tricky to control at first but once you get the hang of it he is a blast. It's actually amazing how well it works.

Love BB8! The technology is amazing! He moves just like in the movie. The phone app is reasonably easy to work with. So much Fun!!!

bought this for my daughter for Christmas, she loves it. She constantly plays with it and when she is on her computer or reading she will put it in patrol mode and it roles around the house exploring and noting dangers (such as our dogs). She was especially happy when she found out the OS in her old iphone was not compatible with the app, and that she had to get a new phone, she really loved that.

This is a very cool "toy" It works best on smooth surfaces - hardwood floors, tile, driveways, etc. It does work on carpet but can pick up hairs, dust from it and will need to be wiped/cleaned. It does learn as you use it more which is similar like the smartphones voice feature -siri and the android voice feature. I would recommend this to 12 YO & older, even for the "big kids", kids at heart.

The unit concept is great but the unit is much smaller than portrayed. Also it will not work on carpet or uneven surfaces.

Opened , charged up, walked through setup instructs. No issues, wish it was a little bigger, but works great.

Bought as a gift for my 9 year old son. Was a bit smaller than I was expecting. Super cute and fun to watch.

I bought this for a friend who loves Star Wars more than life itself. She loves using it in her house especially with her cats around. But she does have some troubles letting it roam and controlling it. Also, with the sound only coming from her phone, it's a bit of a downer. But overall a blast to enjoy.

I have so much fun with my buddy bb8 that the person I bought it for gave him to me. I take him everywhere. Very low battery drain on my Android and bb8 charge is long lasting. I will agree with a review am glad I read because it alerted me prior to it becoming an issue, is that hair, dirt, and debris gets wound around wheels. So just as any pet I clean his feet when we get home every night
