it's an ok product. i cannot spend hours on end using it. not worth the price tag. was expecting a bigger size. i know it wouldn't be life size, but not expecting that small. rolls around fine. controls well. again, just not something i would get a lot of use out of.

bb-8 is the cutest droid alive, I'm so happy I purchased it. My favorite setting is having it on watch and the little cutie just free roams the area and makes the cutest noises!

It takes some time to get used to but it is fun to play with this droid. I have been told there is a wristband that is available soon to control it but for now you use your phone. All sounds come from phone as do holograms (they are on the phone but do not project onto a surface). Overall a fun toy, but a little expensive.

We bought this for my 7-year-old son and daughter for Christmas, but I have been playing with it just as much as them! It moves along pretty well, even when transitioning from the tile part of our floor to the area rugs. It's so cute the way his head pitches when he is going, it looks just like BB-8 in the movies. I wish it had a dedicated remote instead of using my phone but I suppose having it on the phone makes firmware updates easier. Also, the sounds come from your phone, not the toy itself. Overall we love this little guy. There are many videos online that show all of the different things he can do, check 'em out!

I am actually not the star wars fanatic in our household my fiancé is and I bought this as a Christmas gift for him until he found it. He was like a kid in a toy store when he found it, it was 1000% worth every penny. He loves it. It's really well made and works amazingly. Highly recommend this to any techy Star Wars fan.

Let's face it, anyone who watched the film fell in love with this droid and wanted their own. This is as close as you'll get for the time being. Easy to start up and easy to get used to controls. Be mindful that all the droids talk comes from your phone or tablet, but that doesn't make bb8 any less cute or amusing.

BB-8 is great! This little guy is fun to drive around. It had a little attitude too! There are some cool features built in on the app. The only complaint is that the sounds come from your phone and not from the droid. Besides that, if you like Star Wars, this little guy is worth it!

With the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, merchandising was bound to happen in some way or another. But I never expected something this cool to come out of it. With Sphero at the helm, what can't this robot do?

star wars fan and i've always wanted a Sphero. boom. Disney and Sphero made a BB-8. works great. buddy of mine bought one too. it supports voice commands now. best used on flat hard surfaces. no good on carpet. the video playback/AR feature i haven't figured out quite yet though.

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas, she's having a lot of fun with her BB8. It was very easy to set up and use, the controls took a little getting used to but once you figure it out its very easy. Seems to be very durable, she's ran into walls and hasn't hurt it.

It's a cool concept. He's easy to use and fun to play with. The magnets on his head could be a little stronger because it does fall off quite easily but I'm sure that would affect it's ability to stay centered up top. All in all its a neat twist for a remote control toy.

BB8 droid by sphero comes plug and play out of the box. Go to the website to download the app on your iPad or phone. The droid moves swiftly over tile floors with small resistance on carpet. It moves its head around like the robot in the Star Wars movie. It comes with a usb cable for charging. You can easily direct BB8 with your phone or iPad using the sphero app found on their website, It has a record feature to add your own message for playback. The package contains the droid, usb cable, charging station and quick set up instructions. Sphero website has additional setup information.

It's amazing to watch how BB-8 moves around everywhere and super easy to control with the app on a smartphone or tablet. So much fun for children and adults. Anyone would love app controlled BB-8! It's really easy to use and it's cute how BB-8 has its own personality.

This is so much fun to drive around. I am fortunate that most of my home is wood and tile floors because it does not work on carpet very well. Another thing, I wish they had put a speaker inside the droid itself. You only get sound through your device when controlling it.

I purchased 2 of these for Christmas for my daughters. The quality of these little droids is really good-something that you would expect from Sphero. I do wish that the sound would come from the droids themselves instead of the app, but I knew this when I purchased them. The droids do roll around nicely. You control the droid's actions within the app, and the hologram feature is pretty fun. The "explorer" mode is fun, and the droid just roams the house. Sometimes it bumps into something a little too hard, and it's head falls off, but is easily reattached. Overall, we are really enjoying them!

I bought this is a spontaneous family Christmas present. I'm 58 years old and our kids are out of college. It was worth it just to see our oldest child's expression when bb8 rolled out. It's fun and easy to use and has enough features to keep things interesting

This little guy is amazing. Moves around just like the BB-8 in the movie does! Really fun to play with, I just worry it might get scratched on certain surfaces. I also wished the audio came out of BB-8 and not my phone, so maybe they'll add that to future models.

I looked at the differences between all the bb-8's out there and heard this one by Sphero to be the best. I decided to go with this one and man am I amazed at this thing! It's compact and has quite a few features while also being cute a aesthetically pleasing.

Got this for my spouse for Christmas (big Star Wars geek) and it is fun and cute but after awhile you're reminded it's just a toy and the fun wears off. Now it's a nightstand companion. Still gets 4 stars because it works as you'd expect and is pretty genius.

If you want a sphero, why not get the bb-8 version. It is a fun toy. Works well with my iphone and as a bonus is a great cat toy.
