This app-enabled droid is fun to watch roll around the house and make noises through the app. A bit pricey, but very entertaining. The dogs love to chase it.

As a HUGE Star Wars fan, I wanted this item just as soon as I find out about it. I didn't buy it right away though, as the price was a bit much, plus it was very difficult to find, due to the overwhelming demand for it. But I later found it on sale at Best Buy and I had some My Best Buy Rewards to use, so I splurged and bought it. And I'm so glad that I did. It's a lot of fun, and my 2 young children enjoy chasing it around the house, LOL! Only complaint I have is that the BB-8 sound comes from the phone app and not the BB-8 device itself.

We got this as a Christmas gift for our 18 year old son. While this might seem like a toy for our son, it is so much better than a typical toy. We all played with it and it was very easy to learn but tough to master...which made it all the better !

When I saw this Sphero BB-8, I didn't think long before I decided I wanted it. It is a bit expensive to be a kid's toy, but as long as you operate BB-8 with your child, I'd say you'd be fine.

I never imagined a toy this cool as a kid. It's really a fun little remote controlled ball. Tiny, but it doesn't need to be any bigger. It's hard to justify the cost, but if you're a fan of Star Wars, or just cool toys, it doesn't disappoint.

This was for my 12 yr old son, who loves Star Wars. It was a huge hit. It was easy to set up and provides a lot of entertainment. The ball rolls easily and is easy to learn to navigate.

My entire family loves to play with this, especially my 2 year old. It works on carpeted areas but goes really fast on tile and wood floors. It is a fun and entertaining time for all.

My 13 year old son loves this droid. It is easy to control and it is very interactive with you and the environment. Once you get it out of the box, the instructions are easy to follow to get it going. My son was able to set it up himself.

Great product, so much fun! If you want to bring home a bit of The Star Wars lifestyle a droid is a great way to start. This is fun for the entire family! My neighbor also a Star Wars fan loved it and went out and bought one of his own!

This kind of technology goes way beyond a mere toy. What Sphero has done is singlehandedly welcoming in a new generation of toy and consumable robotic technology. As a first edition, this droid does exactly hat it was touted as doing. Like all high-tech items, there is a (very) slight learning curve, but one every member of my family was able to master in a matter of 10-15 min tops. "Patrol" mode has everyone in an awe and this is easily my favorite crowd pleaser of a toy.

After I got over the initial shock of how small he actual is (The box is small enough, but he's even smaller). I plugged him in and he's a blast to play with. The kids love him too.

Love the little bb-8. Fyi: great toy, good display/charging stand & app control. Minor issue is all sound effect is thru ur tablet app controller & heat issue (has inApp monitor).

Fun fun fun! On patrol mode it makes a great buddy for my cat when I'm gone. Sound comes from your phone not BB-8 and you need to keep the app open and near BB for patrol model.

This is most definitely the item to get for any fan of Star Wars. Communicates through your smartphone and routine updates to apps increases functionality with each update. As the movie gets closer it will have even more things to do.

I really wanted this, but I purchased for my kids. It is a fun toy, but it is smaller than it seems in the advertising and if you have any long carpet in your house it does not role well. I may have had to high of expectations.

My son was so surprised to open his BB-8 Droid at Christmas and stayed up all night learning all of the cool things it can do. We all enjoyed seeing BB-8 race into the room and make his way around obstacles. Such a fun gift.

I bought this for my son for his birthday. He is older and a big Star Wars fan. He set it up quckly and it is easy to use. It provides great fun and entertainment when you have a few moments to escape from the days rigours.

I have had this for around 2 months and still enjoy messing with the dog and the kids. Pretty intuitive and easy to get the hand of operating. I wish it was a little less expensive which is why I didn't give it the 5th star

Although this doesn't do a whole lot, it's quite entertaining for the youngsters and keeps the dogs entertained! Great beginner for young ones, as it is user friendly!

Santa brought the BB8 to our son for Christmas. He loves it and it has been easy for him to operate. The head pops off a bit which was alarming at first but its nothing to worry about it just sets right back on the body.
