I bought this as a surprise early birthday gift for my geeky boyfriend after many subtle hints that he wanted one. He absolutely loves it! It's fun to play with and is really cute. It's also fun to torment the pets with.

Super fun toy! Really recommend it! Gave this as a gift and the person who received this gift is a really big fan of Star Wars. He wouldn't stop playing with it! Super handy gift! I could play with it for a long time.

I made a comment to my wife after seeing the Star Wars movie trailer wondering how they could make a toy a into the style that the BB-8 droid was. (I guess I'm just a old school R2-D2 fan) But then I saw the commercial for this product and was blown away. I told myself that there was no way that it would work like the commercial. I bought one for my son for Christmas (I guess a little bit for me as well), and it does everything really well. We have a mixture of carpet and hardwoods in our home and the droid works well on both surfaces. It's built like a tank all except the decorative antenna which did happen to break off after a few days of playtime. The controls work well once you get used to them. All in all, well worth the money. recommended

This toy is a lot smaller than what they show on television. Its okay for a awhile, then you have to recharge it. The app that comes with it takes up a lot of space.

Its definitely cute, but i wish it were a little more intelligent. The commercial that prompted me to buy this led me to believe it was better than it really is. Also, at 149, it is overpriced. Still, it is amusing.

Works best on hard surfaces. The BB-8 unit is fun to operate, makes life like sounds and movements. BB-8 can adapt and learn from its surroundings by using an explore feature. Looks good and is fun to play with.

BB8 is great fun. Easy to operate even for my 4 year old granddaughter. Haven't tried the holographic feature yet. I'll be getting BB8 for my adult kids for Christmas! Can't wait to see upgrades I know will come.

Unbelievable - takes some time but you can make the little bugger move just like the online video after a bit of practice - better on phone than iPad for me...hard to believe these weren't sold out everywhere

The technology in this little guy is really cool, but that's as far as it gos. It was fun to play with on the first day, but after that there is not much to do with it. Controlling it is a little hard to.

I bought this for my boyfriend and he loved it. I almost bought the bigger version of the BB-8 Droid but after reading the customer reviews this seemed to be the better option. Definitely not dissapointed. Bb-8 makes so many cute noises. It does a few different patterns like a figure-8, Square, and circle. It has a turbo mode to go fast and when it bumps into things it recognizes it and changes course. Would reccomend for adults and kids

I've wanted this little guy since I first saw him! Just as fun as I thought he would be. Easy to control, rugged (except for his antenna - be gentle!), and just too darn cute. Absolutely worst the money!

I love my BB-8 Droid. He is so adorable and fun to play with. I think he maybe the best investment I've made so far. But I have to be careful with him when my dogs around he loves taking the head off.

So glad to see we finally live in an age where a toy like this can exist. Controls can take a bit getting used to, kind of like with a new video game, but once you get the hang of it, it's too much fun!

Gave it to 8yr old nephew for X-Mas...he loved it and i mean love, till this day he has it on the charger ready to use everyday...a little small for the price, but seeing nephew have fun is priceless

This is an awesome little droid! If u love star wars ull enjoy it :) b4 u buy it make sure u can download the app that is needed to drive it around... the app is free just look it up. if u cant get the app then ur device will not let u control the bb8!

This is a great product. So much fun and feels like it is good quality. Both the product and the app are solid and compliment each other very well!

Got this as a Christmas present. He loves it. driving it all over the house. Good to see the joy that this little toy can bring. Was a little pricey but well worth all the smiles that it brings.

I bought BB-8 for my daughter and she loves it. It is not very hard to use or figure out. I love recording myself and the my daughter watching the hologram of the message I recorded. Awesome toy.

My son loves this. The motion on it is fascinating and I enjoy driving it around myself. The app works well on his iPhone 4s and my HTC One M8 Android. A bit pricey but the quality is very good.

Hands down the best Christmas gift I've ever gotten. It would be cool if BB-8's sounds came from the toy itself instead of from my phone, but that's honestly the only thing I'd change about it.
