I say "useful, but not necessary" because the cheaper/easier way to do things is to charge your Dualshock4 via the PS4 directly or a regular micro-USB power adapter (like for a cell phone). This is basically the standard PDP Dualshock4 charger stand with Uncharted stickers all over it, so absolutely no differences in function; there's just an eye candy difference. I bought this Uncharted version over the standard because it was $5 (sale price, Uncharted) versus $15 (standard). 4 stars because the cord is not very long so I had to use a USB extender (I plug in my charger into a wall outlet instead of directly into the PS4 for a cleaner look to my gaming area). Note that this charger does NOT include a power adapter so you need to plug this charger into the PS4 or your own power adapter (re: cell phone charger) to charge your controllers.

It gets two stars for the Uncharted 4 graphics. It gets one star as a charger. I thought this was a charger with its own power source but it relies on a USB connection for power. It also requires an adaptor to be attached the to controller than it connects to the dock. Not hard to do but more than I want to do, I can to the same with a USB cable. The manufacturer XBox One charges are much better. Even on sale at $10 I can't suggest buying one unless you're an Uncharted fan.

Got this at a good price and it was definitely worth it. Charges wonderfully and it provides a nice display. Only word thing is 'clicking' it in to charger. After getting used to that it is wonderful.

Don't see much point in this item, especially seeing as how it can be as pricey as 20 bucks. Got this for around 5 and I think it's a fair price mostly as a controller holder, but not a charger. If you have a rubber grip on your controller, then that will make the charging port inaccessible as it has to be an exact fit. Only like it since it has the Uncharted 4 design on it and it goes well with my Uncharted controller. Also, the design is painted, which is a plus, initially thought it was only a cheap sticker.

This charger bears the design of one of my favorite games this year. Overall it does the job well, but it requires either a charge connector fastened to the controller during play or taking it of and risk losing it. Having bigger hands i was struggling to be comfortable and have the charge connector on, so i took it off and it disappeared for a while before finding it again. The solution may be good for younger players and folks with smaller hands, but I'll just attach the USB cable from the system.

Picked this up on sale for the same price as the plain black one - so very happy on that account. I can see where the small charging clip could be misplaced, but I just keep it attached to the one controller. So far everything works as it should.

It's a nifty little Uncharted stand controller that replaces the standard usb method. Looks really cool and does the job!

I needed a new charger for my controller. I have the Limited Edition Uncharted 4 PS4. It was a no-brainer! The charger works great, and matches up perfectly with the console and controller. "Nuff said!

Now ill start with the complaint and why it still gets 5 stars. The little piece you insert into the usb on the controller can come out a little making it not charge but the light won't light up on the ds4 so you will know. But I just kinda gently push down each time I put it to charge no issues and since owning its only come up once. Other wise its compact, sturdy and can plug into any power adapter that has us b like a cell charger. Battery is always charged and since you can plug in any outlet with a usb you can put the controller anywhere. I just love always having a fully charged controller!

Great charger to use for PS4 controller. I don't have to have the PS4 on to charge this controller, I just use the plug on my wall adapter.

I have been buying controller stands for my PS4 and Xbox one controllers because I do not like to set them flat on the floor or tables. This charger caught my eyes because it is a nice controller stand by itself. So I decide to buy it. I can use it simply as a controller stand even if the charger part does not work well. Well the charger part does work. However, I like to put silicon grip on my controllers, and I have to cut out some part of the grip in order to use this charger - not a big deal though.

It was on sale for $5, and I've been in need for a ps4 charger for my controller. It was perfect and couldnt pass it up.
