Kickstarter junk

Problem is it doesn't stream wirelessly from Internet services like Netflix or hbogo for more than 20 to 30 minutes at a time. So if this is your desired use, don't buy it. They state the Android version on the device is the reason. One would ask any they used Android 4.2 that was already 3 years old at the time the beam was released. The Bluetooth audio doesn't sync to video, there's a massive delay. Supposed to be fixed in Android 4.4 update that I've been waiting a year for. This is also 3 year old software. They say the update is ready, but they can't figure out how to write it to the device partitions over the air which is the only way to download updates. They only released 1 update so far and it fixed nothing. I think it was a vapor update to look like they were doing something productive. The app you need to use to control it from your phone constantly disconnects. The response of the device is really slow. Apps constantly disappear from the application sets in their horrible gui. There is no way to turn it off and on from the app, you must use the hardware button on the device. When turned off the light function comes on and there is no way to turn it off without cutting off the power to it. Not a great design for a smart device that's supposed to appeal to smart home buyers. The projector itself is only 100 lumens of display power so don't expect to be able to see this thing unless I'm a nearly completely dark room. Forget about daytime use unless you have blackout shades. It's basically 480p resolution capable. It's basically a sexy concept which I wish I had put more thought into before I bought it as it's not really that practical. It's too heavy for any kind of flexible receptacle to keep it in position. They try to sell you their stand after you buy it to make the thing usable. So bottom line, 500 euro piece of Kickstarter junk that gets no support and has only had 1 useless update to the software since it's release and that was about 8 months ago. The new update they promised last month hasn't come yet and they had to hire a third party to try to figure out how to deliver it and update the devices. Save your money, for this amount you could get a decent television instead. Don't buy into the novelty of this garbage.
