    The original cable that came with my Beats headphones developed a short and gave up the ghost. I'm glad that Beats sells replacements, but I'm angry that the original cable wasn't built to last in the first place. I'll split the difference and give it three stars. If you live near a proper electronics store, you'll almost certainly be able to buy something similar for a much better price. But...it won't be the standout Beats red, if you care about such things...

    Tip of the hat for the cable being available in choice of colors. Wag of the finger for making the earcup jack so tiny that only Beats brand cable will fit.
