this would be great if it was under $50. but its not, its $400 bucks! it runs on D batteries, who uses batteries anymore? especially "D" im very disappointed in not only the sound quality but the item itself claims to be portable but only lasts 2-3 hrs on full blast. it says 14hrs on the box and the Bluetooth is silly. it just keeps disconnecting. I thought it was the unit so I used my protection plan and got it exchanged for another but got the same result if not worse. DO NOT BUY!

Not happy with these speakers, when playing music it cuts off unexpectedly and the volume goes down on its own. I will be returning this item.

I like loud music i went from having the beats pill 2.0 i didnt like how it sounded in high volume maximum distortion. Replaced it with the 1 generation JBL charge was perfect until it wouldnt get charge. Thinking the beatbox would make a nice upgrade terribly wrong it has way to much tweeter over powers the bass disturbing to the ears.

No better than the headphones in sound reproductio

Sound "quality" is subjective. Sound reproduction, i.e. signal in vs. frequency response and volume out is not. Like the consumer targeted headphones, this may sound good but if one cares about reproducing what was actually recorded, a $50 pair of headphones or similarly functioning remote speaker would be a better purchase.

Had the unit just over a week, dropped my bluetooth connection 3 times in an hour of playing while the phone was within 12 inches. Will not tolerate such performance for the price, seems to be a known problem when I check other sites

    Stop Running

It had great sound, when it worked. The "sound effects" when powering up made it seem like a kids toy. Sometimes it would play 1 song, sometimes it would play more. It appeared it was still connected but it would just stop playing. Lots of crackling and popping noises too. I tried it with my iPhone 6 and my iPad Air with the same results. Disliked and it went back to the store.
