No more hassling with cords (except on planes) but the gold is amazing. It's similar to the iPhone gold color in that it's very light but gold enough to notice it. Love this pair!

"These headphones are the embodiment of excellence in sound quality (clarity) and design.. I wear them on the plane when traveling (noise cancelling feature)for business and in the gym during workouts..
