There are loads of reviews with people saying the same thing happened to them. I didn't really think they felt worth $200 the first time i used them either. Even know i got them on sale for $130. They still don't seem even worth that. Charge lasts about an hour and a half on the loudest volume. I don't recommend. I had higher hopes though, freal freal.
