    I am a novice audiophile. By no means am I an expert on audio gear, frequencies, brightness, etc. I have several pairs of headphones: Sony MDR V6, ultimate ears, Bose in ear headphones. I have heard mixed reviews on beats products. Ranging from pure junk to good. I wanted some decent workout headphones with good bass. These were on sale one weekend and I decided to take the plunge. I have to say I'm not super impressed. They sound ok. Good enough for the gym. Bass is absolutely boosted. I do like the carrying case and the fact that it has a detachable cable. I would recommend these only if on sale. Otherwise there are many other brands with better sound in the price range. You're really just paying for the looks and hype.
