bought them for my son as replacements. they have great sound, especially bass.

I really enjoy my Beats Solo2s. The leather on the ear cushion and on the inside of the head band makes the product feel premium. The sound is good. While they're not noise canceling, the on ear cushion creates a tight seal around your ear and truly does help eliminate a lot of outside noise. I took these on a flight and they were awesome. Occasionally I would take them off to talk to the flight attendant and I couldn't believe how much noise reduction there was. Again, not perfect, but get the job done. Although I'd probably say if it weren't for Beats aggressive marketing strategy, these headphones are only worth about $125-150 max. Fortunately Walmart had the white ones listed at $160 so I avoided paying full retail. While I've never compared these to the drastically reduced first gen models, professional reviewers have stated that the sound is more balanced whereas the first gen favored bass.

The Beats Solo 2 on-ear headphones are sturdier and better-sounding than the original Solos, with somewhat more balanced sound and strong, tight bass. They offer a relatively comfortable fit and have an inline remote and microphone for making cell phone calls. The headphones fold up to fit in a nice carrying case.

Very suprised at how well these sound. For Beats middle of the range headphones, they are the best bang for the buck. Best Buy had the best price, and would price match other retailers just in case. The headphones came with a neat little carrying pouch that zips up and should protect your equipment. The cord length on the headphones is very long. Works well on my GS6 and wife's iPhone 6.

Can't believe I picked this up for less than what they were going for on black friday! Great sound, doesn't slide off my head like the larger beats headset. Firm fitment, great sound and plenty of bass. Missing a star is because they didn't have the color I wanted but oh well for the price its well worth it.

I had an old pair of Beats by Dr. Dre ( I guess the original Solo) and they sounded pretty good but my daughter took them for herself. So I saw these Solo 2's on sale and thought I would get myself another pair. Just for fun, I thought I would A/B test them with the old Solos not expecting there to be much of a difference. WOW was I wrong! I could immediately hear the difference. The bass was more defined and the music had more presence. Unfortunately, so could my daughter and so she traded me the old one for the new ones. Oh well, they were great while I had them but I would highly recommend them for listing to your music. Way better than the older models and unbelievably better than the ear buds the Apple gives you. So good that I might just get another pair if they go on sale again. Go for it... you know you want 'em. ;-)
