This is the 2nd set of Beats we have bought for our Daughter and both pair came from Oxford AL Best Buy Store and both are pieces of Junk! Our DD plays Travel Softball and we do travel a lot - as with the first pair this was a Birthday Present then we leave out going on tournament play little did we know at the time but Best Buy does not even offer an extended warranty and the store only gives a 15 day warranty - so you buy a present - put it up for a Birthday present then when its realized that its a piece of junk the warranty is out and the store will not do anything - not only will we never buy this product we do not plan on shopping at best buy again!

    Incredible Improvements

I was someone not so fond of beats when I saw my friends raving about them and seeing the market flood with iphone and beats 'heads". The original line of headphones didn't have the best quality and the bass was incredibly overdrawn. The Studios were the most popular and highest selling of the beats brand, hence why they were remade first. Almost all complaints about the old one were addressed. The original beats had one major terrible flaw, it leaked sound as much as we breathe oxygen. You couldn't blast your music without everyone hearing you. The noise canceling was barely there. And you needed not one but TWO AAA batteries to power the device. And it always bugged me why the originals were so power hungry, when it delivers lacking noise canceling. So in my local bestbuy today to look at some speakers and on the way I see these new studios. Normally I wouldn't care but I decided to try them out because they looked sexy. The originals look really bulky to me but the new ones are sleek, redefined, and ergo-dynamic. I put them on my head picked a song and wow the improvements are impeccable. The sound canceling was top notch couldn't hear anyone else, the vocals were clear, the mids and highs were finally there. And the thumping bass was still skull-shattering. Once an associate told me they were rechargeable with a 20 hour battery life I had to grab a pair. And I suggest whoever reading this review to do the same. Even if you're skeptical about beats and don't think they're worth it. Trust me this* pair is worth it, it'll make your music that* much more enjoyable. Thank you for taking the time to read this review. Oh btw the new ones fold and come with a case, standard aux wire, aux wire with controls, micro usb charger, AND an usb power adapter. Honestly for $299.99 they include every possible accessory you would need out the box. Oh and If you guys didn't know for the PS4 you can use any regular pair of headphones with a mic and plug it into the controller and use it as a headset. I'm pretty sure I'm going to use this pair to game next generation!

Good sounding headphones with one issue for me...

I originally had been against the Beats fade and thought I would never get a pair, but recently tried some on in store and liked the way they felt and sounded. They are very enjoyable when listen to music. I feel like I get a fairly crisp sound and good bass (not overbearing though). I really enjoyed using them when watching movies on my laptop or iPad as they gave me a more immersive theater type experience compared to my Bose earbuds. However, as much as I liked the sound...after a few weeks it became harder to ignore what originally was a slight discomfort when wearing them. The over-ear portion was fine and never really bothered me, but the top band became my issue. I'm not sure if it is the weight or how they sat on my head...but after wearing for a short while they would become uncomfortable on the top of my head...to the point that I was getting a headache. The poor fit on my head has led me to take them back even though I enjoyed the sound. They may fit well for others, and if they feel comfortable, I would recommend them. However, the poor fit just was not for me. One other note, I found them hard to use when doing a web conference as I couldn't hear myself talk. So if you plan to use them in that capacity, I would avoid them as well. Good for music, noise cancelling, and movies.

Not Audiophile quality, but still pretty good

These headphones are really pleasant to listen to. While they may not be "audiophile" quality, they do a great job for my tastes. I needed some nice sounding headphones that are portable, comfortable, and don't look like I borrowed them from a professional recording studio. Are they overpriced? Yes they are, but its Monster, what do you expect. Are there better headphones for the money? I'm sure there are but the looks and comfort of these, in my opinion, makes up for that. Some people seem to put these down solely because they are made by Monster (don't blame them, especially with Monster's bogus HDMI scams) but I am wondering if those people have really listened to them and given them an honest shake? My music taste is primarily heavy metal (Lamb of God, All That Remains, Parkway Drive, Slipknot) that utilize a lot of double-bass drumming and deep bass riffs and these headphones handle it all with clarity and ease, giving a good full, rich sound that, surprisingly, doesn't drown out the mids and highs like some have claimed. With that being said, the highs could be a little better, but there is hope. Its called equalization on your music player (sorry if you use an iPhone or iPod as the default EQ settings are terrible) but if you can, and know what you are doing, tweaking the EQ makes a HUGE difference. Although, even on a "flat" EQ setting, these headphones still sound great for my musical tastes. I have listened to all kinds of music on these including classical, punk, rap, techno, Oldies, alternative, etc and they sound very good playing it all. These are just my opinions but I am impressed with these. They are crisp and clear (to my ears) and I do not regret this purchase. And I would not consider these headphones as "noise cancelling" but rather very good at "noise isolating".

These were not working correctly. I suspect a manufacturing issue. So we had to return them. My husband has purchased another pair yet because he says he waiting to see what new ones they come out with.

The quality of these Beats Studio Headphones are amazing! The bass is solid and highs are very good as well. They are very comfortable when listening for long durations and the noise cancelling is very good. I would definitely recommend these to anyone who wants a very good set of headphones.

    Durable, Clear, Stylish, and Comfortable.

I got these headphones for my birthday last year. After almost a year of daily use, they have one tiny scratch above the ear cup. I've accidentally dropped them on my tile flooring multiple times, and no change in sound quality was noticed. Most people who buy and eventually return these complain about the battery life. I listen to these headphones for 45 minutes on average a day, and the batteries last for about 3 and a half weeks. They take 2 AAA batteries. Buy a 24 pack of them and it will last you almost a year with daily use. Remember to turn them off after use. It's an easy habit to get in. Beats are stylish. They look great, Durable, as I mentioned in the first paragraph. The metal headband is super strong. My friend had the guts to pull his Beats Studios so much that they were almost at a 180 degree angle. (I didn't have the nerve to do that with my pair.) The soft ear cups make it so you can wear them for hours without any discomfort, unlike Beats Solos, which I previously had. Though, they are a little bulkier. Now about the price... The price is too high. I will say that is the only problem with these. They are worth more of 200-225 dollars in my opinion. But if you aren't tight on money, it won't be too much of a deal. They are currently 275 dollars, which has dropped from when I bought my pair. The Solo HDs may be a better option if you don't listen to them for hour-long periods. All in all, a great buy.

    These are great!

I just wanted to start and say I'm an audiophile. I have 25, top of the line, audiophile headphones, (most of them cost between $500-$1200). I have always been skeptical of Beats headphones. People either hate them or love then. There's no in between. I LOVE these cans. If you like bass, these cans deliver. The treble and mids are also great which surprised me. I like a lot of music generes but a cappella is my favorite. I am a huge fan of Pentatonix and Home Free. I'm jamming out to them right now while I type this review. Not only is the sound amazing on these cans, they are fun and immersive. These normally cost $300 but I got them for $150 today at Best Buy because they were on sale. They are also very comfortable. I listened to them for 3 straight hours today. These Beats might not be labeled as a audiophile headphone but they come very close to in my honest opinion. Get yourself a good amp/DAC (portable) and you're set!

Great packaging, very nice design and style. Worst sound quality i've ever heard. The highs and mids were ok, the bass was way overdriven. I expected way better for $300.

    Amazing Improvement

Experiencing amazing sound quality has never been so comfortable and simple. Beats By Dre Studio offers all of this with a redesigned look. The new Studios are an exquisite upgrade from the original model. They have a 20 hour rechargeable battery and they can be worn without feeling any major discomfort. They are often promoted by big name celebrities like Big Sean and Kendall Jenner which gives them big exposure. Although expensive, they are worth every penny. There are cheaper alternatives with good sound quality like the Sennheiser Pro Studios but the brand and stylish design are lacking in these.

    GREAT headphones

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

These are the best sounding headphones I've ever owned. Before these, I used the B*se quiet comfort, for years. Those were good, but the Beats Studio makes those sound like toys. If I had to use one word, it would be Balanced. Low end is great. Kick drums really come through, but not muddy at all volumes. Mid and highs punch through too. I'm noticing things in old favorites that I never could hear before. I realize a lot of the price is due to the name, but, at least these deliver where it counts - sound quality. The noise cancelling is very good too. No pressure on the eardrums feeling, like the quiet comfort. I don't listen to hip-hop. I mainly am in to bands like Dream Theater, Zappa, Yes, older Rush, or any bands that a music snob would listen too. I'm probably not the demographic they had in mind, but it fits the bill. When I first plugged them in, I knew I made the right decision.

I've owned the Beats Executives and old Studios as well as some Sennheiser's. These by far are the best sounding headphones so far. They don't blast your ears with Bass like the other ones, the sound is crisp! They are also the most comfortable headphones I've had as well. A plus...no batteries and 20+ hrs of life. They do show fingerprints due the gloss finish, but wipe off easily. I highly recommend these New 2013 Beats Studio Headphones!!

Less than 6months old...Bought these and only used them a couple times. One day while traveling the sound wouldn't produce, I tried to restart my phone and I reset the headphones nothing worked and after they turned back on still with no music playing or being hooked up they started making a static and squealing noise really loud like they were about to blow. Took them back to Best Buy and pretty much told me I had wasted my $170 on nothing.

So in love with the Beats by Dre Brand

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I seriously can't stop loving these Beats by Dre studios. Especially in Titanium and they are head turners for sure. For those skeptical about the studios (version 2# model breaking and want to buy a warranty, there's no need because these things are extremely durable and Beats have actually improved every minor detail that so many people where complaining about in the past. My suggestion to those that like to abuse their things, please do not try and attempt to break these headphones because they seriously won't break that easy. So now lets talk about sound quality, these cans have bass but not the muddy overpowering bass like the older versions. This model has so much clarity and clear mids and highs. If you're an Audiophile #which I'm not) then these headphones aren't for you. The people that hate beats because they say it's full of hype and they break easily, my motto is "don't knock something till you try it". Also keep in mine that Beats by Dre are an average consumer headphone and if a person loves these headphones such as myself, don't hate them because they love them because it's their money and their preference on why they bought them. Last but not least, everyone has difference ears so you don't have any right to call someone a "bandwagon" or an "idiot" for liking a particular brand am I right?

Bought these beats used them a couple days and once battery was low I charged them. Long story short they never charged again. Then I went to return to BB and they tried to send me to Apple Store! I was furious and asked details on return policy which is 15 days or less , looked up my purchase history and thank goodness it was 14 days! Beware if you have a problem with beats take them back immediately or they'll try to send you to Apple!

Purchased open box "Beats - Studio"(being that the store had (0)in stock to purchase new.(I needed them to DJ a party I was doing in Newport Beach.)...LOL, My Daughter took my regular pair out of my equipment bag!! Arrived at party to find after plugging in, no sound, didn't work. I would have thought before Best Buy attempted to sell, They would have "tested" them?? Just disappointed, My Fault, shouldn't have purchased "Open Box"
