Excellent product. Purchased this for our high school Foreign Exchange Student for Christmas. Well worth the money spent, especially with the Black Friday sale price. Pricing was great! She uses these daily. Fits great, incredible sound, overall an awesome product.

Great upgrade to the original studios

First of all I am not a headphone guru but a person who likes to listen to music on my ipod, ipad, and cell phone. I had the first gen Beats studios for about a year now. I bought them at a discounted price of 200 since the new and current models came out. I really like the styling of the new design so I decided to buy a new pair. I went with the eminem blue for a little more flash appeal. First thing you notice is there is not the same boomy bass that the original studios had but a nicer tighter punch of bass that complements the rest of the song. Details are clearer and more pronounced. I listened to every type of music from AC/DC to Dr Dre and even some dub step. The headphones performed perfectly. The padding on the ear cups have alot more padding than the originals making a good seal around your ears. That being said it seemed that my ears would get a bit warmer than the original studios. I have listened to the headphones for about a week now playing about 7 hours and my gauge is showing 2 bars of battery life. I believe these headphones will probably last 12-15 hours instead of the 20hrs as advertised. Over all these headphones perform great. There is a bit of white noise when used in low volume. I recommend these for any aged person as I am a adult and these will probably never leave the house. I bought these on sale at Best buy for 270. I wish I would have bought them when they first came out . If you still like booming rattle your head bass the original studios will be for you.

    Amazing Sound

I would recommend them to anyone that loves to listen to HIGH quality music aka FLAC, LOSSLESS or any other sound source that provides higher quality. No im not an audiophile person but i can say the bass on the new stuido isnt over powering this time vs last years model. it's more natural. mids, lows and bass are equally balance. so if you want more bass heavy these may not be for you. the noise reduction is something you might have to get us to if you never used before. you can't hear anything or anyone even when the music is turned down very low. and misuc leakage is very minimal I LOVE THEM.

These are first premium headphones (where I paid more than $100) I've owned. It took me a while before I decided to get these. After reading multiple reviews on various headphones and products, I decidedly settled with the Beats. One of the biggest selling point was the sale BestBuy had with the headphones. People would probably tell me to return the product and get something "better" for the price. However, I don't have anything bad to say about the new Studio. I've heard other Beats products where the bass was heavy, but the new Studio isn't all about the bass, there's a noticeable range. I'm no audiophile, but I do appreciate great sound. Comfort is great, I've slept with it on and my ears did not get hot nor were they uncomfortable. The only thing I dislike about is the fact I have to power-on the device to listen to music. The 20-hour battery isn't bad, but for long weekends away from a source of power—being an outdoor photographer, it's hard to get power in desolate areas—wouldn't help keep me entertained while waiting for wildlife or beautiful sunrise/set times. Regardless, a great product to say the least without it being bass-heavy.

I received the "Solo's" for my birthday, however, they didn't fit my ears that well. So I decided to give the "Studio's" a try and they fit perfectly, the sound in both headphones is the same though, you just have to go with what feels more comfortable. Honestly I've never heard music sound like this out of a headphone! I also own a pair of "Shure's", they're good, however, the studio's knock them out of the park, deep bass, mid range perfect, with fantastic high's. I listen to a variety of music but mostly rock and these headphones rock, I never knew music could sound this good! My daughters want these headphones now, but I will wait till Christmas and purchase the Solo's for them, they fit better with smaller head and ears.

Amazing sound quality with excellent bass

This is my first review ever for a product. I did lot of research on headphones and was really apprehensive first about spending so much money for a headphone. I went to various websites and read lot of mixed reviews. Some people said bose is better in terms of comfort and sound...while others criticized beats for its price tag. After doing all the research, I decided to check these out at local best buy store. But oh boy! When I listened to these, I was sold right there and then. I listened to both bose qc15 and beats studio. Bose had a crisp and clean sound but listening to beats made me feel very refreshing and I felt I was standing in a club. The sound quality was amazing at lows and highs with excellent noise cancelling. The best part is the bass (oomph sound) coming out of these units. No other headphone I have listened to in my life produces bass and sound quality as good as beats studio. It feels that you are actually standing in a music studio. The sound is clean with lots of bass...just what I wanted. The reason I gave 4 stars in terms of comfort is because these feel slightly heavy on your ear as compared to bose. But I would still rate it higher and would highly recommend these if you are looking for amazing sound quality with excellent bass.

Pros: - Build Quality is great, 300x better than the original Studios. - Sound is good; warm and bass heavy sound - Very fashionable looking set - Color (Titanium) and matte finish look very premium, however the glossy editions look more like toys to me. - Comes with in-line microphone for mobile use. - Noise cancelling blocks out ambient noise as intended. Cons - They're not comfortable for long term use. The first hour is great, then the experience quickly diminishes. I'll often have to take breaks due to the heat on my ears and the tightness of the band. I get a bit of stress on my ears and top of my head where the band sits. - Sound is not accurate. It has a decent sound to non-audiophiles, but the bass is very muddled and lacks range. Bass heads and audiophiles will be disappointed with the reproduction in this set. - Noise cancelling is active, therefore creating a buzz/hiss sound ALWAYS and cannot be deactivated. This is annoying when listening videos with dialog, say in a movie without music in a scene and just dialog. Same case with songs in low moments. - Cannot listen without battery charged. It's a wired set and, as far as I know, it doesn't have an internal amp. - The price. This isn't an issue with being able to afford the headphones. I clearly can. These headphones just aren't worth the money unless your only concern is to be trendy and have a good looking pair of headphones. There is nothing wrong with that, however if your focus is listening to music then go with a different brand. Beats look great and I admit I love the way they look, but with giant cans on your head, you might as well go for a better audio experience. I am trading these for ATH M50x Audio Technicas. I recommend going with the Beats Studio 2.0 if you're a fan of the look and aren't budget conscious. Spending $300 on a different brand will likely result in better sound, comfort and ultimately looks if compared to the glossy Studios.

I recently purchased these headphones and an extremely satisfied. The are comfortable and fold up for easy transport in the include hard shell case. I have tried other brands of headphones and can honestly say these headphones are the best experience I have had. The sound is crystal clear and has a perfect balance of bass added. Don't waste your time with other brands, Go with Beats by Dr. Dre.

When I bought my Solos a year ago I thought they were good until I listened to my friends Studios, and that was when I decided to buy a pair of studios. For $300 these were worth it. The bass is very good and the highs and lows are great. I use my Studios about 4-7 hours daily and these are very comfortable and have a nice fit. These headphones are good but I am afraid that sometimes when I take them off they could break and these are great headphones for the price.

The beats headphones are awesome from the sound to the looks. I like the way they fit over my ears leaving very little pressure on my ears.
