ALL this (and from what I've found since this purchase, the rest of their line) "Dre" headphone does is boost the low end (bass) at the expense of the mids and highs. Any audiophile who wants to hear music the way the musicians played it, will be sorely disappointed. Any subtleties are lost in these ugly, large ear cans. You can get far better quality sound, quality construction, and most importantly, value by purchasing something from Sennheiser, Audio Technica, Sony, or other real audio experts. And, here's the thing. Usually less than HALF the price of "Dre" headphones. I gave this kludge to my nephew, who clearly only cared about loud bass blasting his ears, and picked up a set of Sennheiser RS120 wireless headphones. In EVERY measurable way they were superior. One quarter the price, crisp PERFECT sound, long range, and excellent construction. Seriously, the "Dre" headphones cost $300 and the Sennheisers cost $80. $300 is ALL marketing hype. It's not a surprise to learn that Monster, the home of the $150 HDMI cable, were the ones to create the "Beats by dre" line of overpriced, poor sounding headphones.

After owning this pair for 5 months, the speaker just broke off. I could understand if the headphones were abused, mishandled, etc... but they were handled with care. As an investment, the price paid for this brand, you would expect to have a quality product to last longer than 5 months before the speaker snapped off when placed on head. So very disappointed. Won't buy again. Overrated product sold with a celebrity endorsement isn't worth the money if you don't have quality and durability of the materials used to hold up to every day use.

After the initial charge the headphones performed the way I expected but then on the next day it wouldn't turn on or take a charge, so I exchanged them. Only this time the headset cable functions to play, stop etc would not work with my iPhone 6. Maybe a bad batch? Who knows but I wasn't going to exchange for another. I give it three stars because the audio was awesome.

Product is pricey but headphones are of a excellent quality. Wish they were wireless though.

Over all it was a great gift for my brother....he loves it

received these headphones very quickly, but when received them it looks as though the previous owner had them for a year or so. This was not a 'display' model or a possible return within 14 days type of damage. I would not even put them on my ear. I took them back the next day for refund. Buyer beware!!

Ok, I tried. I've previously owned the Beats Pros and Beats Solo HDs. The Beats Pros were so heavy my neck wanted to break after 10 minutes. They gave me an extreme headache within the same time-frame because they squeezed my head. So I tried again with these. They are smaller than the pros and I tried them on in the store and didn't get a headache so I bought them. Well, these take about 20 minutes to get the headache and the noise cancellation was disorienting. I also am not a fan that you have to turn them on and off by pulling the cord out... It is very inconvenient and annoying, let alone the fact that you have to charge it. My husband bought the same ones and he loves them and doesn't mind any of the annoyances. They fit his head fine- no headaches. So I guess it really is your own preference and how they fit.

Good sound but the noise canceling buzzing get annoying

Got these for Christmas and haven't put them down yet.

If you don't turn the volume up loud enough you can hear the active noise cancellation (it sounds like the hissing of an old tv when its staticky) I have a pair of beats solo so I had high expectations and these fell way short.

Got a deal on them on for black Friday. Was disappointed that 200+$ head phone had zero blue tooth capability. The battery life is very short. I always have to charge them And now today one side decided to randomly quit working. STAY AWAY
