I have used Bose QC 25 headphones in the past and it is the best noise cancelling headphone. However, Beats also have good noise cancelling with better sounding music. I used these for long flights (6 - 8 hrs) and had no issue with battery and sound quality. They helped reduce engine noise from plane. The only drawback is that you can't use them while the battery is charging. The battery lasts for about 12-15 hours depending upon how loud you hear the music and then requires about 2-3 hours of charging.

There is a reason that these are the best headphones on the market. You don't know sound quality until you've listened to ANYTHING with these bad boys. Crisp. Clear. Precise

Got these for my husband for his birthday and so far he has enjoyed them at the gym he can cancel out everything and focus on the TV or his music. Thanks Beats!!!!!!

Bought these after my gaming headsets gave out, I know there's better sets out there for less but the reason I went with these is because of how great they felt. Didn't feel flimsy or too heavy and don't move much when on. They're super comfortable compared to other headsets I've tried of the same price. Some music is kinda distorted at max volume but I don't care much because the noise cancellation on these things are so good that you don't need to have the volume so high to hear music clearly. Overall honestly I really love the way they fit they most .

others may not have. I'm also an engineering major, and I found the general lack of objective, in-depth headphone reviews on Amazon to be disconcerting. So, here I am, taking a shot at reviewing some of the headphones I either own or have spent a lot of time listening to. I've devised a simple six-song test and rating system, where 0 - 2 is abysmal, 2.1 - 4 is poor, 4.1 - 6 is mediocre, 6.1 - 8 is above average, and 8.1 - 10 is excellent. The songs are very diverse; I was trying to represent a wide range of genres. They are "The Chain" by Fleetwood Mac(encoded in 256 kbps Ogg Vorbis), "Every Planet We've Reached is Dead" by Gorillaz(256 kbps .ogg), "Concerto Grosso #26 in D major" by Handel(256 kbps .ogg), "I Know You Are, But What Am I?" by Mogwai(500 kbps .ogg), "Afro Blue" by Triplexity(192 kbps .ogg), and "The Patient" by Tool(500 kbps .ogg). I listened to everything on an iAudio 7 with the equalizer set to flat and all the sound effects turned off. Sound Quality(6.8/10) The Chain(6/10) - bass is nice and deep, slightly exaggerated, but still pleasant to listen to. Distortion is present, but very minimal. Mid tones and highs are somewhat underrepresented and bland, but otherwise sound decent. Instrument separation is a bit muddy. The main negative here is the sound stage, which is tiny. Every Planet(8/10) - lows and highs both sound very smooth and rich in this song. Mid tones, as before, are underrepresented and bland. Instrument separation is good, but the sound stage is very underwhelming. Concerto(6/10) - the bass in this song is deep and vibrant.

Well, I like the old design before this but the sounds and bass well its like the same for me the only thing I really like this new Beats Studio is I don't have to buy AAA battery every time I need a new battery to use the headphone...

My son got them with his birthday money last month and he had never owned a pair of noise cancelling headphones before these. I have listened to the sound quality and it is amazing. He has them on his head all the time.

This was a gift for my husband and he loves them. He loves that can be charged and don't use batteries as the expensive headphones he had used up batteries quickly and always ran out at the wrong time. Great quality.

Bought the beats as a gift for my 13 year old son. He seems to love them wont take them off. Only con I notice is they need to be charged to use the noise canceling, but I don't get to use them enough for that to matter.

I got these on sale a few weeks ago. I've found them to be an excellent addition to my headphone collection. The sound quality is great, with great lows, midst, and highs. Great buy if you can get them on sale.

I love the headphones. They produce great sound quality and appropriate amount of bass. The only downfall I would say about these is the wire that you plug into device, if you move it the wrong way sometimes you get a very annoying popping sound. It doesn't do it all the time but sometimes when you play at high volume and are running or move the wrong way it does it. Besides that I love the headphones!

I enjoy this headphone a lot and it helps me to maintain my sanity when I want to listen to music on my computer and my wife wants to watch her TV programs. I am only distracted when she touches me to say good night.

Good clear sound. I like the nice blue color of the head phones. I think that they are the most stylish head phones out on the market today.

Wasn't planning to purchase these, but they were 50% off. So, I took advantage of the sale and purchased these. I'm glad I did, it's helping me mix live worship so much easier than a $20 pair of headphones.

The headphones have been a real hit. They have been great value at the price point of $200. I wanted to buy another but the price has returned to $300 as such I won't buy.

Yes; they're still one of the best headphones out there when it comes to quality, but they're not the BEST for the price you're paying. I mean, you're paying quite a lot of 'cash' for over-the-ear headphones. Right?
