The associate brought me to the headphones and told me all about them, plus since a regular customer, the warranty was free.(built-in savings for me.)

In fact, we had bough one for my brother in-law and I had a chance to listen to the quality of the sound. So when I saw the same headphone on sale at a significant discount, I went for it and I have had no regrets because it has been worth every penny of my investment so far. Since I travel a lot, I intend to put it through the rigors of travel but I expect nothing but excellent performance. I plan to also consider it as a gift to some of my music loving family members

My son ended up breaking the headband part after having them only a few months. Because we had apple care, I was able to get them replaced (brand new) with no additional cost to me.
