Beetlejuice, beetlejuice, beetlejuice! Still hold up

Tim Burton's Beetlejuice is one of Tim Burton's best films, featuring his unique sense of design and illustration throughout, highlighted by the performances of Michael Keaton in the title role, and a young Winona Ryder in one of her breakout roles. A very young Alec Baldwin and Gena Davis play the lovely couple who get killed by a freak accident and wind up stuck in the afterlife without a clue... and call upon the resources of Beetlejuice to help them out... which doesn't work out like they planned.

This movie has become a classic and is worthwatching.

After Adam and Barbara Maitland die in a car accident, they find themselves stuck haunting their country residence, unable to leave the house. When the Deetzes and teen daughter Lydia buy the home, the Maitlands attempt to scare them away without success. Their efforts attract Beetlejuice, a rambunctious spirit whose "help" quickly becomes dangerous for the Maitlands and innocent Lydia.

A great film with some unforgettable characters. The steelbook is fairly decent. The picture quality is a little underwhelming but for the price it’s not bad. I do wish that this was 4K disc but honestly the difference in picture quality is not going to be massive anyway. Again, for the price, this is a deal.

What can be said about this movie that has not already been said before? Nothing, that's what! I loved this movie the first time that I watched it in the theaters way back in 1988... and I continue to thoroughly enjoy watching it again these 32 years later! Definitely worth picking up and adding to my collection!!

When I saw the Blu Ray edition of this film for 5 bucks it was a no brained. So I get home and me and my family decide to throw it o for old time sake! I had completely forgotten there was an F bomb and crotch grabbino incident! My five year old niece wad amused, as was her mother. I guess watching it on tv for so many years I was not expecting it. Makes for a good story, and another great film added to my Blu Ray collection!

At first I was upset, cuz my blue ray DVD player wouldn't play it. I tried a second time before returning it and it magically played!! and I am so glad it did!!!! DAY OOOOO!!!!!! I love this movie and its a must have on Blue Ray!!!!!!! and the hard metal case is amazing!!!

I enjoyed the movie as a kid, and wanted to add it to my shelf. Since it's an older film, I felt that getting it on blu-ray would get me the best picture, and leave me with no complaints. Witch it did, I was impressed with the picture and sound. Wish it had some more extras but that's okay. My favorite thing was that...when I put the disc in...the movie started playing away! No force to watch message, or logos, or even a menu screen. I love that, wish all dvd/blu-rays were like that!

Amazing 4k transfer whether you were able to pick up this awesome steelbook or not. Everything is more vivid and life like than ever before, the way the tim burton intended it to look. Also has an awesome audio mix, all in all better than the original blu ray by far

I hadn't seen this movie in years and picked it up on sale at Best Buy for nostalgic reasons and I am so glad I did! I forgot how clever and fun this movie was!! Its short and sweet and has so many classic scenes and who doesn't love the the music!!

One of my favorite movies to watch with the family. It's got the same whimsical humor as Princess Bride. I instantly fell in love with the gothic decor, and the character Lydia. This film opened me up to the world of Tim Burton and all of his creations.

This is a really old movie...old enough I did not recognize a much younger Alec Baldwin. It's quirky. Michael Keaton is good in just about anything and this proves it.

Regardless of how many years have passed since this classic was made, it just never gets old. An all-star cast, including Michael Keaton, Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, and Winona Ryder. A Tim Burton classic! If you've never seen this movie, check it out now with the 25th anniversary Blu Ray, with tons of extra goodies!

Great movie that has finally come out on 4K Steelbook edition and a must for your collection. This is among Michael Keaton's finest work and is a laugh riot throughout the entire movie. Great special effects and a legendary film that only gets better with time.

I collect steelbooks so I'm glad that Best Buy is making it a habit to release my favorite films that way. The cover art is great and even the inside of the steelbook has an image of Beetlejuice. Oh yeah and it's affordable. To my other collectors out there, best way to get these is to pre-order online.

It was funny 20 years ago and it's STILL funny. Halloween wouldn't be the same without a good ghost story. This movie has been entertaining my family for 20 years. Just don't say the name of the movie too many times.... (This will make sense after you watch the movie)

This is an old favorite, but keep this in mind when purchasing the Blu-Ray. The audio technology is from 26 years ago, so this disc will not take advantage of the latest in surround sound if you are playing this through a home theater setup. Also, the Blu-Ray doesn't have the 20th Anniversary banner across the top as pictured, but the SKU's match up.

Tim Burton at his finest, Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis make being dead look fun. Michael Keaton plays yet another comedic role before becoming Batman. Baldwin and Davis die in a freak accident and are forced to live in their earth home, and spend the entire moving trying to get the people to move out that moved in after their death.

The HDR really stands out on this release due to the vivid color palette of the film. In addition, the Dolby Atmos track is a definite plus and substantial upgrade to the previous 5.1. Overall, this 4k upgrade is an easy purchase to a classic movie.
