This is a great fun MOCKUMENTORY of the behind the scenes lives of an up and coming serial killer in the likes of Jason and Michael. Lots of fun. If you like horror movies you will like this one. ( Plus Robert Englund is it it so AWESOME!)

This is a loving tribute to slashers, while offering more as well. Filmed as a pseudo-documentary, it gives a backstage view to what the great horror icons have to do to get ready for their big day with their final girl. It's a greta premise that delivers on its promise.

Jason, Freddy, Chucky, Michael--- theyre all real legends in the world of small town Glen Echo, and now Leslie Vernon is making his run to become the next slasher great. 1/2 Dark comedy, 1/2 Slasher film-- Behind the Mask is also equally part documentary part horror film and it makes it work perfectly.
I cant say enough good things about this movie other then that its become a cult classic around here, and is one of my favorite horror films of all times.
There is a sequel planned if youve already seen and fallen in love with the movie as well, you can facebook before the mask for more details.

This movie's ok. If you watch it from a comedical stand point, I think you'll like it. My wife and I thought it was a horror movie, that's why I gave it three stars. It's almost like a documentary. The guy walks around with a film crew and tells you when he's getting ready to kill some one. I couldn't tell if this movie was made out of respect for old school slasher films or if they were making fun of them. It's rather cheesy, kind of funny, kind of stupid, but has some good killing scenes. I would recommend watching it just because people's opinions vary, and what I may or may not like, some one else might. But, watch it as a comedy horror not an actual horror. Also, I would only buy this if it was $9.99 or less, or just rent it. It's not really worth watching twice. By the way, mine came in a 3-pack with Re-Animator and Phantasm for $19.99 at Best Buy, which was a pretty good deal I thought.

This was a fresh new type horror movie. I will not ruin this movie for you by telling you the synopsis. I will just tell you that the "Horrman" advises you too check this movie out. Fans of horror movies over the years will love this movie for its historical references too other horror icons and the great humor in this movie portrayed in a serious manner. Horrorman says go grab a copy of this, watch it and enjoy!!!

I'm a big fan of indie horror movies, but this was aweful. I actually felt like I wasted part of my life watching this. The premise sounded great, but it did absolutely nothing for me. I will definitely giving my dvd away.
