Despite all the reviews I read all over the internet, I decided to give the Behringer VP1520D's and the B1800D Pro a try. Here's my somewhat long review on them.. I'm the type of guy who enjoys hosting events at my house outside with the projector such as sport events and movies with friends and family. I started with a home theater in the box which was ok but wanted more. I then upgraded to polk audio 5.1 speaker system but still wanted more, bigger sound. A couple weeks ago I decided to go with 2 PA speakers and an 18" subwoofer. My brother who is 24 has been in a band since he was 16 so he is familiar with all the required cables, mixers, etc so he came over to help me hook everything up to make sure they sound good before I go out and buy all my own cables. Also being skeptical about the brand, he said, "everything is hooked up". His eyes popped out of his head guys!!!! These speakers sounded so great that he is now getting ready to get a set for his gigs. We didn't have the volume up more than 1/4 of the way and my ceiling tiles started crumbling, falling onto his laptop!!!! These absolutely blew his and my mind out of the water. I have no idea why people say Behringer isn't good quality and sounds horrible, maybe they had a problem in the past, but I would say I am a Behringer fan. Considering myself a beginner to pa systems, I am about 3/4 of the way to becoming an expert when it comes to home theater and sound quality so we use Bose, Klipsch, and Denon with most of our home use so I do save $$ to get great quality sound and these sound stunning. I can't say much more than WOW. It's too early for me to say anything about the durability yet since I just received them but they feel solid as a rock. As I stated above, my brother is very familiar with this field and he said these are some of the best pa speakers he has ever heard!!! My wife was pulling into the driveway and couldn't believe the sound quality coming from the basement while she was at the end of the driveway. In conclusion, everybody has their own opinions, but I would highly recommend these to anybody looking for bigger sound!!!!
