Easy to recharge PA system for indoor and outdoor events. Affordable and portable.

we use ours for evangelist ministry. it is fantastic, but so poorly built its pathetic. It broke twice in the first month. the sound is awsome and 40 watts puts out a clear spoken word. if u dont get the waranty ur an in trouble. the batery is rechargable and we use the strap to hang the speaker at shoulder level for better sound. god bless beringer!!

We needed a way to provide amplified sound on a Halloween hayride. In the past, we'd used batteries and inverters and hooked up an amplifier and speakers. While this EPA40 portable amp isn't as loud as a multi-speaker system, it's far more convienient. A four hour charge let's it run for "up to 8 hours" (we only run about 6+ so we've never seen it run down yet). It's very load, and the microphone is of good quality. There is a line in jack for hooking up an MP3 player or other audio source. The speaker is decent, though sound from a single 5" speaker isn't hi-fi. For voice, it works great. (Sound isn't that bad, either.) It can be worn over the shoulder with its built in shoulder strap. It's loud enough to be heard hundreds of feet away. Consider this a more affordable alternative to something like the Fender P-10 (which costs twice as much). The Fender may be more rugged, but for the intended use, this EPA50 is a great solution. I wish I had known about it years ago. (We will be using it to replace a 12V power system and aplifier setup we use for stage performances; that system is better, but this little amp will do the job and be far more convienient.)

We'll write another review when we get the product replaced by Best Buy, who didn't hesitate in replacing the whole item. It looks and sounds good, though and is lightweight
