I ordered the Behringer V-Tone Bass Driver as an inexpensive DI for live shows where I didn't want/need to bring an amp... it quickly got added to my pedal board and is now a staple for my sound. I was impressed by the rugged feel of the box - it looks cheap in the photos, but it's much more solid and heavy-duty than I expected. The footswitch is very responsive and, with a big button, it's easy to hit when you're scrambling about. With a few simple knobs, you can shape your sound across a huge spectrum: crunchy and aggressive to mellow and low. You can also send XLR out and 1/4" out simultaneously. A simple "Volume" know allows you to use the pedal as a simple 'boost' if nothing else. I have only used this box with a power supply, so I cannot comment on the battery life. If you're looking for a tone-shaping pedal or a versatile DI box without spending a fortune, get the Behringer V-Tone Bass Driver!
