Like most households, we have a wireless network. However, when I have a very large download (e.g. a large Windows or Office update), I like to plug the affected computer directly into my router with an ethernet cable. I researched flat versus round cables, and found disagreement as to whether they are effectively equivalents. However, I wanted a cable that I could leave connected to my router, but roll up when it was not in use. This flat cable met that requirement.

Works great. Easy to install. Exact lenght. Would purchase again.

We needed a direct line hook up for our Internet I had one already but we have small children and they don't watch for cords all the time, so when we found the completely flat cord we gave it a shot and it works perfect!

I don't transfer data between computers on my home network so this cable was overkill as I have no means of reaching the speeds it's capable of. Actually it's going from a New Netgear wireless router to an old Linksys firewall router that's acting as a switch for this room that's all hardwired but it's old and capped at 100mpbs so I really didn't need a cable this fast. But it fished through a wall easily so I'm going to pretend it was money well spent. Sometimes you've just got to treat yourself. I love my little tapeworm looking cable.

This is the most amazing ethernet cord I have ever owned in my entire life. It does the dishes, folds the clothes, cleans the windows and walks the dog. It also does a pretty good job of connecting one plug to another.

I found the Belkin Flat Network Cable to be both innovative and efficient. They help my computer get to a download speed of 229 Mbps, only wish my ISP, Comcast was reliable as these cables!

This network cable is great for me. I travel a lot, and was worried that the 14' length was going to be too much to carry conveniently, but the fact that it is a flat cable makes it extremely easy to wind up compactly, and fits perfectly in my bag. Has incredible networking speed as well. I love CAT6.

It's flat shape is great for hiding it, but it would better if it came in other colors, like white or grey.
