Apple Watch charger stopped working after 3 months

After about three months, the Apple Watch charging component stopped working. A friend who purchased the same product around the same time experienced a similar issue, so this may not be an isolated case. I didn’t expect this from a product endorsed by Apple. I hope Best Buy or the manufacturer can provide support or a replacement.
