the price was great. i now have additional ports in case of more external fixtures are added. it doe's require power.so the electric bill takes a small hike. the unit remains on when the computer is shut off. so if you have an addon that you want to shut off with the computer. you will have to use the computer board ports for that. everything I have plugged in works instantly. a safe purchase.

The Belkin hub is reasonably priced for a 7 port USB 2.0 hub, and is great for either a desktop or laptop computer; it's small enough to throw into a briefcase or backpack, and very light.

Somehow managed to damage two USB ports on my brand new computer... didn't join the "Geek Squad" so the repair would be rather costly... It was a life saver and powered so just what I needed to run my external hard drive. Works as expected... compact and sharp looking! No compatibility issues what so ever. Can have 2 mobile phones, my headset, external drive and magic jack all connected at once with no glitches at all. REALLY PLEASED!

Was looking for a powered USB hub for hard drives and i-devices to charge; had a couple older ones that weren't cutting it. Liked the shape of this (ports on all four sides) and the size (relatively small and compact). Has been working great so far and the size is nice.

small footprint in taking small desk space, plugged in and were up and running in no time. Replaced an older and larger unit and very pleased

Easy to hook up, small, lightweight. Like that I can now hook everything I need up to my computer. However, there are some things, such as my printer and wireless dongle, that don't work in a hub and need to be plugged directly into my laptop. But overall, I like the hub and would recommend.

This USB hub could not be any easier to install. Windows 7 automatically recognized the hub and was installed in less than a minute.

This unit is simple plug-n-play. Very small and compact. Can be "hidden" almost anywhere. I don't expect any problems and long use. I have 2 of them.

This is a fantastic addition to my computer setup. This hub is small, but takes care of all my needs. After reading the reviews, I decided to try it out, and I'm glad that I did. For the price, and for what it does, this is a great purchase.

Plug and play ease that one expects from Belkin. The power cord and USB 3 cord could be longer.

I purchased this Belkin 7-port USB desktop hub to expand my ports because I was updating the operating system on my computer and needed to back up my data to external hard drives. Since my existing USB hub was only 1.0 and very slow by today's standards I updated to the 2.0 since that matches the port in my computer. What a difference in speed! Now I no longer get the pop-up messages every time I plug in something, telling me "you could get faster transfer speeds if you used USB 2.0". Plus I have plenty of ports to plug in my devices on my desk and it doesn't take up much space. No issues so far.

Needed extra ports and this worked as advertised. In fact I have bought two. One for each computer.

Bought it to replace a Toshiba usb hub, I started loving it since the first day it came in.

Very easy to use. Just pulled it out of the box and plugged it in.

I like the square layout with plugs on all sides - increased flexibility over typical docks

This is a great little hub with 7 ports. Hook up was easy plug and play and I like having the ports on each of the 4 sides of the square, makes it more compact and easier to hide wires that run behind the desktop, leaving the front ones open for the stuff you plug in once in a while (smartphones, usb drives, etc.)

I bought this hub for use with my MacMini, which has four USB ports, all located on the back, making them difficult to access for peripherals that I frequently connect/disconnect (mobile phone, flash drive, etc.). The square shape makes this easy to use, without getting wires tangled and the power source lets me use it with virtually any USB peripheral.
