I think it also automatically shuts off. I had my phone playing music overnight on the charger and I woke up and my phone was dead.

So far it works better than an off brand I tried previously and got frustrated with. Make sure you position your device properly over the charger. Even if it shows charging initially, double check the indicator a few minutes later to make sure it’s correct or it may be just far enough away from the coil not to charge. Several times I’ve woken up to an uncharged phone.

think twice

I also noticed that for some reason it will charge for awhile then just quit before its done. Im thinking about returning it. next buy I will spend the extra money and get a better one.

The charging coils inside the phone and the charger must be connected and aligned, that's why it needs to be placed properly. Have you observed the same challenge when charging a different phone or plugging the charger into a different power outlet? Placing it into a flat/even surface might also help.

Works with thick cases like otterbox

My biggest concern when getting this was whether or not it would work with my otterbox and it does. The total thickness of my phone case is 3.5mm (yes I measured it) and it still manages to charge my phone, not as quickly as a cable but its still reasonably quick.
