However, the magnet did not hold my phone up, it just slid off. It was probably related to the case on my phone, but the case wasn't anything unusual. I returned the item.

I wish I wouldn’t have bought it.

This Belkin charger is expected to last longer than described! Try using charging another compatible device, and avoid using phone cases thicker than 3mm (lightweight plastics only) for isolation.
