Great remote controlled protection

Price is just a little high, but being wireless helps reduce the desktop and under desktop wire clutter. I bought one 1.5 years ago, this was my second one because I liked it so well. I was concerned because it was harder to find this unit this time.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This Surge Protector has well spaced outlets so that devices with adapters can be plugged in without any problem. Two of the outlets are always on so I have the Vonage device in one and the Modem/ Router in the the other so my phone service is available 24/7. This Surge Protector when turned off will save electricity in the other 6 outlets by preventing Vampire usage. I calculate that the cost of the Surge Protector can be recouped in a year and a half. My desktop, printer and stand alone scanner are plugged into the outlets that can be turned off. Belkin products have been very reliable for me and their Tech Support is above average. It is really convenient to be able to control the Surge Protector from the remote instead of having to go to the floor behind the desk. I am disappointed that the remote does not work better. Both the on and the off switch do not engage after they are clicked into position. It takes an extra tap on each switch after clicking to get them to engage, but I can live with that. Overall, I'm real satisfied with this product.

Great product for easy power saving

The only issue I have is that you have to press the remote button harder, or I should say all the way in while pressing the power on or off as otherwise it does not transmit the signal. The remote switch is not like the conventional rocker switch in the house where it will turn on or off as soon as the button are pressed.
