I love this keyboard. use it every day for taking notes (EverNote) and document & illustration mark-ups (Note Anytime). The advantage over other competitive models are: -the thin profile -the power shut-off when not snapped in typing positions -shell casing style protecting the back of ipad -sound channel directing sound to the user - only one in the market today. The not-so-great are: -the silver finish gets scratched up every easily. I added 2 small silicone bumper feet at the bottom back corners - solve problem for the bottom panel. I also added strips of white textured tapes to top, bottom and sides (rubbing points). It does not look too tacky, but add a bit of accents. -the "delete" key at the top right, intermittently non-responsive. sometimes I also get double kkeys preess (see the K's and the E's?- to demonstrate my point). Not all the time but a couple of times a week is enough to make me notice in this review.

I have purchased and returned two previous keyboard cases for not living up to the manufacturer's claims. This one, I'm keeping. So far, I'm loving it! It's thin, lightweight and has a great keyboard. I love the fact that all I need to turn it on is connect to one of the magnetized stand positions and to turn it off, disconnect. I have had it now for more 30 days and haven't had to charge it yet. The only negative thing I can say is that there is no where to put my stylus and the silver finish requires me to purchase a sleeve to prevent scratches.

It turns the iPad into an "almost" laptop well. The metal cover can scratch easily, so be careful. I suppose you could put a clear skin on it. The keys are not illuminated, but I find with the light from the display you can see the keys in dim situations. After the first bluetooth pairing the keyboard connects as soon as you put the iPad into one of the three magnet slots. Pretty slick. Build quality is great, the plastic is high gloss black so it shows fingerprints well. If you are looking for an iPad keyboard this is it, stop looking.

I'm an avid business user of the iPad and have tried many different keyboards, from Zagg to NewTrent. This is the best keyboard thus far. It is the most durable, lightest and best battery life of all I've tried. It adds very little weight and size to my Ipad and it feels very protected. Only wish it came in different colors.

The Belkin Keyboard Case is a sleek and slender silver case. It offers full protection, three positions of the screen are held in place by strong magnetics. The case does not offer vertical swivel positioning. Very nice feel to the keyboard. Quick and accurate key response. The keyboard does not offer lights which I personally like. The instructions are clear and direct for simple setup...The Belkin case acknowledged my Apple iPad right out of the box on Bluetooth. The case is made of a hard plastic and presently only available in silver. Battery life is way above average. Although a bit pricey, I would buy it again and recommend the Belkin to my friends.

I really do like this keyboard. I'm not big on bulk or carrying a separate detachable keyboard, which I've tried. This keyboard does a great job and is very functional. Easy to use with or without keyboard and in tablet mode. The only downside that I can note is that while reading, watching movies, etc. it seems like the keyboard while propped up in position, stayed on and drained the battery. Additionally, at times it had a problem connecting or re-connecting. I suppose that's the problem of not having an on/off switch or Bluetooth-connected connection indicator. Overall, i'm happy, especially when compared to other options available which are bulky, clumsy, and just not very easy to carry around all the time.

This purchase was for my husband's iPad because I loved mine (purchased a few months ago) so much. Easy setup, charge lasts months, and my favorite feature is that you can fold it back to a handheld when you don't need the keyboard and quickly set it back up when you do. It's a little heavier than with a regular case but well worth it for the positives.

this item is made very well. it is thin and the keyboard makes using the ipad a whole lot easier than others that i have tried. one problem that i have is that one of the three magnetic strips that the ipad rests in makes a permanant mark on my screen saver. this is my second screen saver. Best Buy was good enough to replace the first one thinking that they marked it somehow when they installed it. but now i see its damaged again. will have to go back to best buy and see if they can resolve this issue.

I was looking for a slim case for my IPAD that provides protection and a keyboard. I had the zagg case, and its a good case, but its bulky. This case is much thinner, easier to charge the keyboard and has a real sense of security in protecting the iPad.

I got this case for my boyfriend for his birthday. He loves it. It has long battery life, its very light weight, and the different postions make it great for different applications. Love that it know when it is open and closed and works well with screen protectors. Would spend the money again.

Good case comes in silver or black had it 2 months use it everyday. the keyboard is the best for the pad. connects very fast and easy. Thin, light feels durable should last. The only negative is you cannot use keyboard in portrait mode. also if not using the keyboard and just in tablet mode in the portrait position, the case does not lock into place or sit in a position. seems like they could have added a lip or magnetic lock to make it more stable. I give it a 9 out of 10.

I like the keyboard, feels good, battery lasts long, and overall it works just like it should. The Ipad itself actually stays in position using magnets between lid and base - works good except if you try to move it across a table or carry it - magnets can be disconnected and then the Ipad itself kind of flops around. Once you get used to that, it works flawlessly.

this keyboard is very easy to use and its really thin. the outer caseing is good looking but i find it to be a little slippers when opening. the battery life is something like four months long with normal use. I couldn't imagine using my iPad with out the keyboard

A really nice addition to an iPad. I bought this because I need to use my iPad at work to do a lot of word processing. This hard cover with the keyboard included was exactly what I was looking for in a case/keyboard combination. The setup is super easy and the battery only needs to be recharged a couple of times per year. It also looks really nice. The only downside is the magnetic points you use to stand the iPad up. The iPad grabs right on to them, but they also separate rather easily. This is the only drawback and it's a minor one.

I've had this keyboard for a month and it's the best iPad keyboard I've used. It nicely matches the iPad and the keyboard has a great feel (I'm using it now.) It's light and allows three different viewing angles. A magnetic catch holds the iPad in place in each of the three angles. Occasionally, the iPad slips out of the magnetic groove--a stronger magnet would be nice and lighted keyboard would make the product fairly close to the feel of a smaller MacBook Air. Belkin has done a very good job of refining the keyboard case.

Bought this case primarily because the main purpose was for work use and the keyboard was desirable. Firstly, the keyboard works great. Keys have good action and is very similar to typing on macbook keyboard. The battery life is also very good. On the current charge, I am 5 weeks into daily usage and it is still going strong. Now the bad. The finish, which at first i thought was aluminum, was wearing off at the corners within days of clipping in the iPad. Also, the magnets belkin uses to lock the screen into the landscape view for typing are flimsy. If you are using it on a tabletop, its great with no problems. However, under other uses e.g. on your lap, it is frequently falling over. Overall, I would give the case a 6/10. For the price if I were to buy again,I would probably opt for the logitech alternative.

Bought this case/keyboard for my new iPad when my laptop crashed as I needed something to hold me over until I could afford laptop repair or new laptop. Love the portability and protection it gave my iPad. The case is durable and the keyboard is comfortable to use and the keys feel just like a "regular" computer keyboard. Took me a while to get used to the compact size of the keyboard, but until I got a new laptop, it did the trick. I would definitely recommend this product. Holds a charge fairly well, too!

Way too pricy but does what I bought it for and when Blue-Tooth into your Ipad, the buttons work just as they would on the screen. While in bed, the keyboard is not of much use. So, the Belkin easily lets you double it over and to the back of the Ipad. But watch out because too close of contact engages the magnetic shut off. Poof. Also, I would not recommend getting the unit in White. It really shows dirt both on the back of the unit and the keys. All this is easily cleaned up with a lightly moistened rag while the unit is off. You will want to do this anyway because restaurant tables and break-room tables are none too clean anyway! As for scratches, this surprised me. I really thought it would do better that that. I have only had it a month! I know the review sounds much more negative but I have tried several of these external keyboards and I have taken them all back. This one seems the best I have tried but that Price is what caused me to try the others.
