    Poor lighting connection

    I spent over $600.00 to buy this lighting system and install them around the pool. The first few days it worked great. After I add 2 more sets for the from of the house and after I got a firmware updated. everything went wrong. I spent over 8 hrs in 3 days to get a solution from the Wemo link but they could not get it resolve. The link now it was interference with my Wi-Fi and once I leave the house there it was not connection and now the only way to connect the lights is manually. Once I leave my house there is not way to turn them on or off .

    WeMo is getting a really bad reputation - avoid

    The WeMo concept is great - use the WeMo app on your iPhone or Android to control household electronics. The problem is that the development team has failed to execute the concept. In theory: 1) plug in the Link device 2) download the App. 3) connect your phone to the Link private wifi network 4) launch the App. 5) App recognizes Link device and connects it to your home wifi network 6) App recognizes LED light chain and pairs it with Link box. 7) App can now control lights. My iPhone 6 refused to search for devices at Step 5, with the App claiming it couldn't reach the WeMo cloud. My wife's iPhone 5 did a little better, reaching the "Looking for Devices" message in Step 5 but never finding a device (that it was actually connected to). If you read the WeMo community forums you will see that people also had problems at steps 6 and 7. I also have a WeMo Switch and NetCam, which have also suffered from poor firmware and App upgrades. I bought the light set thinking they must have upped their game since I bought the other items several years ago. I'm afraid not - please avoid the family of products to save yourself endless frustration.
