Overall it is a pretty neat little switch. However, the app offers no security. It essentially uses your own WIFI network's security as its own. Anyone who has access to your home network can access the switch. Not a huge deal, just something I am surprised they have not fixed yet.

Purchased three switches to control my Christmas lights since the mechanical timers were never in sync with one another. The switches were easy to configure and set up with no problem with one place some distance from my Smartthings hub. Great to have all three come on and off at the same time and to control remotely.

Great outlet. This is the first gen version outlet. Great if you turn something on and off frequently. I have mine connected to the 32,000btu air conditioner. Outlet holds 15A. Convenient for me on the hot summer days when I'm not home and I want to turn my AC on an hour before I get home. Also helps me check to see if I forgot to turn off the air. Helps save $$$ in the summer. Version 2 of this outlet doesn't have a power button and you must use the mobile app to turn on and off. Also, version 2 is the same size as an iPhone wall charger. Version 2 will keep track of wattage used by whatever you have plugged into it and it will show you on your app. This version 1 is larger but it does have that important power button for me. If you don't need the button, get version 2.

I use these for Christmas lights and the tree. It makes it easy to schedule the lights to turn on and off automatically. Being able to turn them on from the phone makes it super easy. Its not the easiest to setup sometimes but once its configured it works great.

I like that I can turn my lamps on before I enter a dark home at night. It keeps me from fumbling to find the light switch.

You don't get five stars, because sometimes the app doesn't work and you have to reset.

I am setting up a home automation system and these Belkin switches add to my setup. The set up is easy and intuitive. The unit works flawlessly. I am using it in a location where the wall switch is a bit hidden behind a speaker to drive Can lights. I look forward t future memo devices, perhaps a wall box outlet or dimmer could be next.

I have enjoyed these and linking my Amazon echo has made my living room lighting much easier and more fun. A bit slow to respond sometimes but overall a great item. Would defiantly recommend for a rental or vacation home when you want to seem home but aren't.

It's a very useful product. I live in a two story condo. The night before I can prepare the electrical pot with water and then when I wake up the next day, while brushing teeth etc, I ask Alexa to turn on electrical pot, so when I go down stairs, I have hot water ready to drink and cook. Times saved!!!

I purchase the switch in order to add to my Google home assortment of smart devices and turn on a remote lamp. Setup was a cinch through IFTTT and pairing it with my Google home was equally as easy. If you're looking to start a smart home setup and you want to start slow this might be the way to go

The product works as advertised. Prior to this, I used Wink for lights and very often, the Wink system loses connection to the lights if you turn them off manually for a prolonged period. Additionally, Wink has a delay. This does not have a delay and the app is very intuitive. The set up was a breeze.

I bought this as a birthday present to my brother, works as expected. he has several other Wemo products as well.

My husband often works at home. I love to use the wemo while he is at home. When he least expects it, I’ll turn on the lights. It works great. Make sure you have Wifi. It is a great thing to have if you leave during the day, but want lights on just before you return at night.

I bought this switch to work with the Amazon Echo and it was very easy to set up on the home WiFi network and sync with the app and with the Echo. It was the second one, and setup was easier than the first because I had the WeMo app already installed, and the Echo connect to it right away as well.

That plug is of good quality a little tricky to connect but it may have just been me love it use it everyday

This device is easy to set up and use. I like the fact that I can control the device from anywhere. I bought two to control lamps in different parts of the house and a wall switch to control my exterior lights. Great product for a good price.

Bought this as a Christmas present. It's great when you set the timers to turn on automatically, especially with the sunset and sunrise recognition built in. Took off a star because opening the app just to turn off a light can be cumbersome.
