It's partly because my WiFi wasn't that great, this WeMo Switch had a hard time reconnecting, I had to do the setup again. That was my only frustration, but I've also used this in a more stable environment and it worked well. It was great for Christmas Light automation!

Good wifi switch

One thing that annoys me is the constant software updates that takes a long time to complete. During this time the switch may be inaccessible via app. I feel the frequency of software updates should be minimized.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had it in the cold attic for about a month to turn security cameras on and off as needed (the outlets are difficult to reach) and in spite of what I saw in some other reviews, I have not had any problems with the iPhone app or the switches. They stay in synch and the app shows the status of switches correctly and turns them on and off as needed.
