Slicer works well. The plastic piece to hold the meat to keep your hand safe from the blade is nice, but the blade spins fast enough to pull the meat away from it so that you have to repeatedly readjust the meat to be cut to be held with the plastic piece. The meat can pile up on the back side of the slicer, so make sure you sanitize it before and afterwards. For the money (bought on sale), this slicer is great; if I used one more often, I'd consider a higher-tier slicer to avoid the issues noted above.

Should have invested more money in a good slicer. Runs slow, makes a lot of noise, barely cuts, hard to clean. Wish I had used it right away, waited a few weeks and don't think I can return it. Bottom line. Next time I'll spend the money and get a good quality slicer.

So far so good! I have sliced up a ham after cutting out the bone and then sliced a block of cheese! No problems really except it can get very messy!

Purchased thru Deal of the Day. I use this to cut pork meat into fry-able portions. I get the Pork bu*t, slice them into 2cm thick cuts, then marinate them before frying. I find that it is best to cut when meat is half-thawed. 4 stars because it is quite a challenge to clean and precarious as the blade is very, very sharp. Good thing to have in your kitchen as cutting by hand can be very tedious. This beats the electric knife too. Now, it takes me longer to clean the thing up than cutting meat itself!
