What a great rice cooker this is so far! I needed to replace my old Cuisinart rice cooker, more so due to the beaten up basin with scratches on the bottom inside of the basin. It cooks other things too but I mainly use it to cook white steam rice. Not hard to keep clean. It does have a non-stick basin for those who are particular about that but for me, rice needs a non-stick surface. The price was great too along with a discount I get every so often. If it ever goes that low again, maybe will buy another as a spare.

This is a good rice cooker. It makes rice quickly and the digital screen helps a lot in the process.

I bought this primarily to cook rice quickly. You can also cook quinoa, yogurt, oatmeal, and steam proteins and vegetables. It comes with a rice paddle, steaming tray, user manual and steam vent. I have been using it for a little over 2 months and it cooks perfect white and brown rice every time. The firmness of rice depends on how much water or liquid you use. If using more than required, it will come out with a sticky, rice pudding consistency. Once it is finished cooking, It stays on to keep warm. If left on keep warm too long, though, it does dry out the food, so this is not an acceptable device to use like a slow cooker to start it and leave it alone for hours, unless you are using the slow cook setting. I have not used this setting yet, BTW. Overall, I am happy with my purchase as I did not have a huge list of criteria for it.
