But the toaster has a wide range of settings and can toast a bagel in about 2 minutes, and that is with a well-toasted setting. I decided I could live with the bagel setting because it is the only toaster that I have tried in the last few years that doesn't require 2 toasting cycles to get to a toasted bagel. Performs beautifully on toast.

1-LIGHT, 2- BURNT. RISKY. BURNT ELECTRICAL STENCH

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Still smells like burning electric to this day- very apparent at 2 setting. 1 setting barely toasts/ sometimes toasts, so inconsistent. 2 setting burns bread and intolerable electrical smell... so of course I don't set it higher. I followed directions when it was new, waited & hoped for electrical/wire burning smell to disappear while using that never did. This should not be sold on sale, but recalled... nothing should smell like burning wires when in use even after 2 months. And Ixm telling you-never used it for frozen, only bread and attwmpted bagels a couple times. Oh! And on bagel? That function doesn't work. both sides heat up Toasting bread should not be stressful. Returning today. Wish I knew of a toaster that was worth getting. Not worth the 30 bucks on sale, safe yourself the headache. Stainless steel edition of the BellaPro Toaster.
