In places, it may be more historically correct than the original, but Charlton Heston is hard to beat. New BH = 8 old BH = 9 on a 10 scale.

Ben-Hur is a classic story retold with modern filmmaking. It will never be the original, but I enjoyed it and would watch a 2nd time.

In comparison to the original version, some events were the same but yet some were changed but overall the story remained the same. The friendships, chariot races and family relationships is strongly highlighted.

Movie was good. My husband & I enjoyed watching the movie. Started out different than what we expected, but movie flowed very well.

I didn't expect to be entertained and actually enjoy this movie, I love the Jesus references throughout and the acting was on point along with the excitement. Overall, I was impressed considering I never saw the first one.

It doesn't quite follow the book with regarding to their relationship nor how the book ends, but still enjoyable historically.

Though I never read the reviews of the movie I figured it would be at least a decent movie. Turns out it was actually very good!

I had heard this movie was ok, but I found it to be better than the Charles Heston version. It kept my interest and I really enjoyed the different ending. I want to read the book to see which ending was in the book.

This is a newer version of the original Ben Hur movie. While there are some differences, this movie is action packed and keeps you on the edge of your seat. I would recommend it to those who enjoy this type of film.

Good flick. Not as great as the 50's classic but I did enjoy it. Love all those Roman era movies. This does not disappoint.

I had my doubts whether I would like this movie as much as the Heston version, but was pleased. It was very well done and I actually liked the ending in this one a little better. Watch and see for yourself! Enjoy!

if you like the original, you will like the remake too, very great movie, with good special effect and great color picture.

My wife and I really enjoyed seeing this movie at the Theater. When I saw it on sale for $9.99 I couldn't resist.

Enjoyed this remake and this different interpretation of the classic Ben-Hur story. Much more action packed. Entertaining.

This is a great movie! This story is one for the ages, and this remake did it justice. At first I thought that it would ruin the one that everyone refers too, but this is a great film with great cinematography!

I like this movie , different from the original version but great movie, just a little sad because isn't available in 4k.

I would recommend this movie to anyone that likes movies from the past that can be recreated with new technology, it is better in ways then old version and worse in others, hard to knock off Charleton Heston..
