Bought this in Sept 2016. It has been 4 months and we are extremely happy with this projector. I have tried it on a bare wall and it looks great! Only drawback is if ... you will need a dark room.

Easy to set up. Had no problem shooting at 10’ to get 120”. Clear and deep color picture.keystone adjustment if needed. Speaker performs Really well. Actually pleasantly suprised. Works great for our new movie room.

This is an excellent DLP projector for your home entertainment system or your office to make presentations. Its 2000 lumen lamp works well in bright rooms or darkened rooms. The bulb has a life time of 3500 hours when used in the normal mode and 5000 hours when used in the economic power mode. It has 1920 by 1080 DPI resolution and it can project a picture size of 5 feet in diagonal up to 15 feet in diagonal depending on the distance the projector is positioned from the wall. There are two programming menus and one is the basic menu and the other is the advanced menu. The unit was easy to set up and I used the HDMI input for a PS3 and I used the basic menu and it was up and running in just minutes. What's in the box? - The projector - The quick start guide which is not the best guide I have seen. - The power cord that is 9 feet and 9 inches long - The remote control with a working range of 26 feet - Two AAA batteries for the remote control - A CD with the complete user manual on it and this manual is good. - A contact card for USA warranty service This projector has a lot of handy features built in and I have listed some of the key ones below for your information: • Cinematic color • Trapezoidal picture correction and even in an automatic adjustment mode • You can invert the projected image if you hang the projector from the ceiling. • Project 2D and 3D images. My PS3 even recognized it has a 3D mode and asked if it could play games in 3D when available. • Compensate for wall color and in my case I was shooting onto a light gold wall and I set it for light yellow compensation and it worked perfectly. • You can project a test pattern to allow you to properly set up the projected image • Dual 10 watt speakers on the rear of the projector • Vertical lens shift • It is powered by 100 to 240 VAC at 50/60 Hertz and it draws 4 amps • The unit has a front and a top sensor for the remote control signal detection in case you mount the unit upside down on the ceiling. There are numerous rear ports for your use: 1. HDMI 1 for high quality input from your cable controller or gaming system. 2. HDMI 2/MHL to allow you to connect to your smart phone or tablet for example. 3. 12V trigger to allow you to control an automatic motorized screen drop system or automatically control a light dimmer. 4. USB port rated at 1.5 Amps to power the optional wireless video input box. 5. Mini USB port which is used for service 6. PC VGA style port to connect a computer 7. RS232 port for use with a computerized home entertainment system. 8. Component RCA input ports 9. RCA Video port 10. Audio in left and right RCA plug ports 11. Audio in 3.5 mm port 12. Audio out 3.5 mm port rated at 5 watts times 2 channels The Quick Start Guide provides limited data and uses various pictures to define data that is not easily comprehended. I found it difficult to understand. The user manual on the CD is 63 pages long and much more useful. The pictorials in the larger digital manual actually have written text to describe what they mean. The manual on the disc is good and you may want to print it out like I did for reference. This is an excellent projector and the projected picture quality is amazing. I rated this at 5 stars. I do wish it had a few more HDMI ports for smart sticks. I now use one port for a ROKU and the second for a PS3. I’d like another port for my Amazon Fire stick.

To all that read this review, I am new to the projector experience. I bought this BenQ HT3050 projector almost a month ago, and I am still amazed at the picture quality. Setup was easy and I mounted it to my ceiling using the BenQ ceiling mount. Viewing against my wall provides a nice picture but viewing on an Elite 125" motorized screen significantly ups the video experience. The default settings look great and after tinkering with some setting, I went back to the default settings. I've watched movies, sporting events, and played video games without any lag. The projector does require a darker room to bring out the “Wow” factor. The fan noise is very low and the speakers are quite loud but lack bass. I have the audio sound level set to one but occasionally up it to two. Anything higher is too loud for my taste. I have not tested the 3D glasses but plan to do so in the future. Overall, I am very satisfied with this projector.

This is an amazing projector. I just used our wall as the screen and the image/picture is really great. The sound level of the projector fan is low....most specially if you have your receiver running. Overall, I am very satisfied with this projector.

I bought this Benq 1080p projector from Best Buy based on the consistently high reviews I saw in several different places. It was installed in my home as a replacement for an outdated Seleco projector on 12/27/17 by the Geek Squad at Best Buy. I'm blown away by the picture quality. This projector comes with it's own internal speakers but these were disconnected by the Geek Squad since I already had installed surround speakers. Haven't tried the 3D yet. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Amazing picture, awesome 3d, quiet operation, dual speakers are loud. Has not given me any problems, very happy!

We purchased this for our in-home movie theater. It runs pretty quiet. It's definitely quieter than our last Epson. Watching Finding Dory in 3D was awesome.

I project this onto a white wall, so not ideal conditions. But this thing is AWESOME. I can't wait to get a proper screen for it

I use this projector in a theater room and love it the color and clarity are awesome even on a wall that isn’t white.

This works great for gaming and movies. When gaming there is no delay and it's awesome to have a big picture this clear. Movies are great as well. Would be 5 stars but the first one broke within a month. Second one seems fine

This projector has been fantastic so far. We have enjoyed it.

This projector looks amazing with no adjustments necessary. I purchased the WOW to adjust the projector and I can tell you that I only modified the brightness and nothing else. This projector uses DLP link 3D glasses and I purchased the EStar America ESG601 and they work wonderful with this projector. I also purchased a 120'' 16:9 Homegear motorized screen and it fills every inch of it without any issues. It took a lot of work to set the wiring but it is so well worth it. Add a nice sound bar and you are all set for your movie viewing experience. I think the 3D looks the same or better than at the theatre. The sound that comes out of the projector is loud enough but nothing compared to a sound bar.

Love this projector for our basement movie room. Excellent picture quality, great sound with 2 speakers. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a projector in this price range. Robin
