Pros: Gaming at 1440p and 144hz is a great experience. High quality stand. Puck remote is actually very handy. Cons: Received unit with excessive blue tinted light bleed in the lower right corner and along bottom bezel. Not a nitpick at all, it shouldn't have passed QC. Replacement unit had a bright cluster of pixels in the center of the screen. It was also significantly less bright than the first and looked well below the stated 350 nits. Headphone jack does not work when the refresh rate is set to 144hz. Benq support is not helpful and doesn't stand behind their product in the slightest. Other Thoughts: Assumed in error that Benq had better QC than the larger OEM's producing similar monitors right now. Based on my experience I think the QC is about the same across the board. I was surprised by how little Benq support did to help (i.e. literally nothing - return it to the retailer). Sometimes the smaller companies stand behind their product a bit more.

My son uses this monitor and his lag time has been dramatically reduced from his previous TV monitor. The graphics are incredible and the overall experience of using this monitor exceeded his expectations.

Again great picture and smart monitor. Auto mode is as easy as it's titled. Kinda annoying to get setup correctly and get everything to 144hz quickly. After you go through all the tedious picture corrections it's worth the buy! Now time for my graphics card lolz

This quality of this monitor has been phenominal. I have another BenQ monitor that I now use as my secondary monitor, and this is my new main. Games look amazing @ 1440p/144hz. I highly recommend this monitor.

    144hz is a BLUR

I am very disappointed in this monitor for a number of reasons. The first being the fact that it's only 144hz. I am used to gaming on 600hz plasma TV's that don't blur at all and 240hz LCD TV's that blur a little, but nowhere near as much as this 144hz monitor. Some people think that a 1ms response time and a 144hz refresh rate results in no motion blur, but they're wrong. Just jump into a game like GTA V and look at a sign or a wall with writing on it. When you rotate the camera left and right you can see the letters blur to the point that you cannot read the words even with AMA on premium, blur reduction on, etc.. On a plasma you can rotate the camera and the letters don't blur at all. Nothing on the screen blurs on a plasma. The second issue I have with this monitor is the anti-glare screen. It looks like someone rubbed oil on the screen, which makes everything look awful. Had they used the same anti-glare coating as the RL2755HM it would look great. When free-sync is enabled and a game is running you see really bad flickering whenever you move the cursor around the screen while in menus, on the desktop, etc. The screen also has darker spots on it so when you are playing darker games you see lighter and darker spots on the screen as you rotate the camera. It's very annoying and I think it may be due to the uneven anti-glare coating. The bottom left corner of the screen has a large section of green backlight bleed, which not only glows during darker games, it also affects everything else I do as it makes whites look green, blues look aqua, etc. The worst thing about this monitor (other than the awful blur) is the fact that the screen dims every few seconds while going from lighter to darker areas. For example, when driving around in GTA V at night you pass under streetlights and the screen dims. Once you get out from under the streetlight the screen gets brighter. I'm not sure what causes this and I've tried every setting imaginable with no success. It's also a TN panel so the viewing angles are bad, the colors are awful and the black levels are pretty bad too. The top of the screen also always looks a lot darker than the bottom no matter how I position it. My RL2755HM did not have this issue. The only good things about this monitor are the stand, which is sturdy and looks pretty good and the fact that it's 1440p. But I'd much rather stick with my 240hz 4KTV or even my 1080p plasma so I don't have to deal with motion blur. Playing at 60 fps on a plasma is amazing as there is no blur at all and everything is as smooth as butter. It looks way better than 144 fps on a blurry 144hz monitor. But it's too expensive to manufacture 4K plasma TV's so they're dead, which is bad news for gamers. With all of that said, this monitor is about $2,500 cheaper than a good TV so I guess I'm not really surprised that it's not that great.

This is awesome for a gamer! It will only work on 60 HZ with the HDMI or DVI connections(that come with monitor) However, in order to utilize the 144Hz,you will need to use a Display Port (DP) Cable. If you use the HDMI cable this monitor don't have any speakers to use for sound. But if you're a true gamer, you won't be using these anyway.

The screen was awesome while it lasted. After purchasing this in 08/15, and now 01/17, the screen has gone BAD. it has distorted and has multiple lines running vertically. There is no picture. for what i paid, i expected it to last a lot longer. I have cheaper LED screens that are 5 yrs old and work as the 1st day they came out of the box. DO NOT BUY!

    Outstanding Monitor

This is a great monitor! Don't listen to what some people may say about the blur or any other negating reviews, they are over exaggerating that to the max. And for anyone who says using a tv is better I would strongly disagree with you. The 1440p resolution is crisp with some color adjustments which are easy with the Switch Arc control. This is meant for gaming and it does that perfectly. 1ms and 144hz is outstanding. I would highly recommend this monitor for anyone who has an AMD graphics card capable of FreeSync. Playing games like GTA, Far Cry, Star Wars, The Division all look amazing. The monitor's physical features are great. The stand and base are solid and heavy so there is little to no movement. Adjusting the angle and height are easy and making screen adjustments are simple with the controls. Overall this monitor surpasses the expectations for gamers. It is a direct challenge to the Asus monitor which is another excellent monitor. I have had both and its all preference when it comes down to it.

    great monitor bad support

Shame on Benq. The monitor itself is great. I started to have a flickering issue with whites and grays and i let support know. Their response was garbage. The problem went away, but it could come back. The poor support, and Benq's general problem dealing with customers has me recommending a Dell instead. Do not buy Acer or Asus monitors either, unless you dont mind equally terrible support (just hope you never need it!)
