Very sharp very big screen at a short throw. I would give it a 5 but the fan can be a little loud on quiet scenes and sometimes the hdmi signal is lost if you tap the wire by mistake. Other than that razor sharp very impressive for price. Wish it came with at least 2 3D glasses

I previously owned an Optoma HD 25 and it worked good, but the picture quality was hard to get right. After about 3 years it finally pooped out. I decided that I was going to get another under $1000 projector but I did more research than last time. Im glad I did. This projector has a great picture quality and the ease of use is perfect. With the wireless expansion kit I know this is goint to be the best home theater projector I have owned.

The colors from this projector are true to the image going into the projector. A higher contrast ratio would produce better blacks but the color and 2200 lumens make up for it in this price range.

Got the HT1075 for my basement home theater. The image and color quality is fantastic for this price. 3D works well. The throw ratio is great for my needs.

    Overheating issue

This is a great projector- when it's working. After four months, the projector would shut down due to overheating (room was not hot) I sent it back to benq under warranty, and all was well for 5 weeks until it began doing it again. I'm in the process of sending it back again, and benq is going to replace it for me with the ht2050, which is the next generation of their budget projector line-up. Apparently, this is a common problem with this model (look at the reviews on all sites) I'm giving this projector 1 star due to this fatal flaw. The silver lining is benq's customer service. They have been very professional and are trying to make things right. For this, I think it's a company worth looking into.

HAD RETURN TWICE DUE TO OVERHEATING - FRUSTRATING

It was good when it worked. Had to return twice due to overheating. The return process was frustrating. I had to call three times today, yet nobody can tell me the tracking number for the replacement unit. This is after they told me that they shipped the replacement unit yesterday. I would not recommend this product nor BENQ for their poor reliability and BAD customer service.
