I can attest to the fact that it is amazing for console gaming. Playing mostly on XBOX One, the colors are extremely vibrant whilst playing, and the color representation during the occasional movie here and there is still above its competitors in terms of TN panels. I was skeptical about it being a TN panel versus an IPS panel, but if you're looking for a great 1080p monitor for console gaming, you could hardly notice a difference. The 1ms response time is just icing on the cake.

Great monitor for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It was time to upgrade my monitor and I knew I wanted to get something that was at least 1080p and had the lowest response time. This monitor fit the bill and the price was right. Setup was simple (I have it and my previous monitor mounted on Ergotron LX side-by-side arms using the VESA 100mmX100mm holes on the back) and the massive increase in screen real estate has been fantastic. It seems silly, but the headphone mount on the back that folds down from the body is a nice touch. Now I don't have headphone wires criss-crossing my desk. Color reproduction is good. I haven't used the built-in speakers (I have a 5.1 setup on my computer) so I can't speak to the quality, but the overall experience has been great. If I were to recommend a new monitor to someone, BenQ would be high on the list if the price is right.

Amazing gaming monitor

Comes with built in speakers, which is quite rare with a monitor. The only con I can find is that the buttons can be a bit of an annoyance to use. However, some of the buttons can be programmed for a shortcut button with some of the settings; “Mute” for example.
