The English dubbing is perfect! Berserk is one of the greats! Its fantastically put together Anime. The English dubbing is almost flawless. Sometimes I believe that the illustrators make a version in Japanese and a Version that can be “dubbed” in English, because most all new Anime (Like this one) has near perfect dubbing. Not like the old Kung Fu Films we the character says something only to have the lips still moving after they are done speaking!

This is such a great and mature series. I can't recommend this enough. It's not for kids. The animation is a bit rough, but the story is what matters and it shines.

Dont read any reviews online from supposed Anime fans, cause your gonna find alot of dishonest ones. Beserk story is very good. The animation choice is alittle bizarre, but once you get past that the story is amazing. Perfect dark fantasy. Recommend Watching the Golden Arc trilogy first, helps explain somethings.

I'm saying that I wouldn't recommend this to a friend simply because the extreme violence and Gore is not everyones cup of tea. This series is second only to Conan for Dark Fantasy setting. The Storyline and characters are all well written and enjoyable, and it's worth binging a few episodes at a time

Not as good as the Nineties version, but better than its online reputation

Takes some getting use to the clunky computer generated animation. The story more than makes for this minor setback. Glad to see that the story after the Golden age is finally being told.

The animation is obviously not great but the blu rays did touch some stuff up since the show was originally released.

Berserk is one of the darkest animes I have ever watched and continues to amaze me with its evocative storytelling and tragic storylines.

wonderful picture great theme I would buy it again

After airing two seasons on the streaming service Crunchyroll, Funimation has finally released the first season of the 2016 re-issue of Berserk to Blu-ray, and it's a decent piece of entertainment. Fans who had issues with the clunky CG animation will find little new in this release, aside from a slightly more polished presentation and material that was censored when it originally aired. However, for those who are familiar with Kentaro Miura's long-running manga series, it does a decent job of capturing the feel of that series. Berserk's world is full of dark and twisted imagery, religious themes, and carnage galore. For those who've been clambering for more Berserk since the 1997 anime, this set delivers.
