This is a action, fantasy, horror supernatural anime about a man who calls himself "The Black Swordsman" looks upon his days serving as a member of a group of mercenaries, the Band of the Hawk, nicknamed "the Grim Reaper of the Battlefield." Led by an ambitious, ruthless, and intelligent man named Griffith, together they battle their way into the royal court, and are forced into a fate that may change their entire lives.

The first time I watched berserk a friend and i spend a whole day and watched the entire series. 12 hours of awesomeness! Epic story, Epic fights and Epic swords. Anyone into anime will appreciate Susumu Hirasawa's soundtrack as well. Do not pass this anime up. At a measly 30 dollars believe me its worth it, when the Box of War costs around 100.00 dollars.

Berserk is quite possibly the best anime action series of all time. The battles are insane, the story is epic, the characters are unique. If you are a fan of action anime with substance than this series should not be missed. I got into anime about 15 years ago so I have seen my fair share, this series remains high up on my top ten favorites list. Enjoy!

This was a good remake of Berserk. The story is still a strong characer driven plotline. The ending is a bit odd.
