When Me and my cousin went out looking for Manga he came across one. When he opened it he saw berserk preview page for manga so he said he wasnt going to buy any manga if it wasnt berserk. When we went to a best buy went to the small anime section, BTW sucks that it not a large variety of it, and he saw berserk so we got it. I have never heard of it so when i finished seeing first movie. It was the best show i could ever thibk of. Story gets intense and i wanted to see more hopefully they release more!

if you got to see the berserk tv series, this is pretty much a remake of the entire 25 episode series and packed into 3 full 1.5 hours feature films but with NEW, IMPROVED and BEAUTIFUL animation! animation and action is so fast paced, it'll leave you wanting more! BERSERK fans, don't hesitate! BUY NOW!

Great art work, awesome story, leaves you wanting more and more every time you watching It! Absolutely not for children under 17, at least. It is quite graphic but still very enjoyable!

Berserk...on Blu ray. Need I say more? As a fan of the original I absolutely loved this version, especially on blu ray. My wife and I can't wait to finish the rest of the series!

Image still looks good on a HDTV and overall the movie is fantastic. I just wish there where some better features for my money.

Found this at Best Buy....they always have the best selection on hard to find items....loved this movie

This was pitched to me as "anime Game of Thrones", and while I wouldn't exactly agree with that, it certainly nails the violence and tells an engaging story

They need to make more Anime movies like this 3 part series one.

An excellent anime movie and will recommend this to anyone who is a collector. The sequel is out and it is just as good as Part 1.

Pretty good movie. Like I said before, if you liked Berserk, you'll like this movie.

this certainly isn't for children so if you are think about buying this for anyone under 16 it would probably be a bad idea due to violence.

Genres: Action with an overdose of bloodshed and a little bit of nudity. Will start by saying that Best Buy seriously has the best buy on this. Cheaper than Rightstuf and Amazon which is awesome to see. This is my first venture into the Berserk universe and now I'm going to have to check out the old TV series as well as read the manga because it was just that good. "The Egg of the King" takes place in medieval times with kingdoms waging war on each other. Guts is a rogue mercenary that fights for whoever pays the most. After a successful sacking of a castle, he's ambushed by bandits. The bandits turn out to be part of a mercenary group whos leader has taken an interest in Guts and will do whatever it takes to make him his. Berserk is some good old fashioned hack and slash. Swords, axes, and arrows blowing through someone's head. Bodies being torn apart and impaled by the cavalry. And a few flying limbs as well. Movie is rated M, but Best Buy decided to slap an NC-17 listing on the website for some stupid reason. Voicing is top notch. Been a while since I watched a Viz program besides Bleach so the actors were fresh and very good. Didn't even imagine touching the subtitles and original audio. Visuals were awesome on Blu-ray with super smooth action #good TV helps, too# and loads of meticulous details. CG was used in a few areas where I wasn't sure why it was there. Blended well, but it was just odd and gave some parts a slight blocky movement. Soundtrack was superb. These types always seem to have great musical scores to accentuate all the action. Extras weren't really even there. There's a section with sketch drawings...but that's it. Not even any previews. It does call out Viz's new service called Neon Alley which is a paid subscription available on the PS3 for anime viewing. May check it out. Only drawbacks were the short length of time at only 76 minutes and that horrible feeling of wanting more at the end. Can't wait for the next movie.

Berserk is all about action! Guts is a powerhouse throwing himself headlong into the fray. I absolutly loved the duel he had with Noseferatu Zodd, especially when he transforms into a demon! Can't wait for the Battle of Doldrey coming soon. Treat yourself to a classic that has been remade in 3D, and then animated over. There is some real breathtaking shots and cinematography here!!!
