NEVER EVER BUY A PHYSICAL BEST BUY CARD ONLINE! !! I bought a Best Buy gift card from Best Buy online for my son’s birthday. It shipped from a warehouse in California and showed up and was never activated. I went to the store and they gave me a number to call. I called the number and they said they were out of stock (how is Best Buy out of stock of Best Buy gift cards?) but the guy on the phone said to go back to the store and call back and they would tell the store it was ok to exchange it. Complete lie. The store cannot exchange or do anything to help customers with gift cards. So with the store managers help I called again and talked to someone new who said the card would be activated in 3 business days. Was it? Nope. Waited over 2 weeks and still no resolution. I have to wast more of my time to call back and talk to some guy who’s training is just to answer calls and read from a script. I have been a total rewards member for many years and I’m so beyond done with Best Buy and the awful online customer service! Never again Best Buy. Closing my account immediately.
