The best thing about a gift card is that you can get it in any denomination you choose! Hopefully you load it with enough money to buy something with; it would be unfortunate if the receiver couldn't even buy candy with it.

The $30 gift card that I received came with the Xbox One S I bought during one of Best Buy's Holiday 2016 sales. I thought I could use it to get an extra game or two. Redeemed this to purchase an item online so I had to scratch off, or more like peel off, the gray covering for the code and pin number. Trying to peel it off was a bit of a hassle though but I thought of it as a protective measure. When you try to peel the lining covering the code, it would not peel in one go. It would detach itself 1/4 of the way when you're peeling it, so you will have to try to peel it again and again. In the end, it's better than using a coin and getting gray dust on your fingers. Also, I would only gift these cards if I am absolutely procrastinating and/or could not think of what the person I am giving it to actually wants.
