I needed extra USB ports, but didn't want to buy an expensive Hub. I love that this was plug and play! I've had no issues with the hub. Delighted to find it at BB for such a great price.

I charge my MP3 with is, yes, I have an MP3 and it does a great job. And I can charge while I am using the other ports for my thumb drives.
