It is not compact but folds easily This was used on a USBC to audio adapter and didn't show signs of sound degradation.

Used to split two sources of audio (shotgun and lavaliere) into a camera 3.5 mm audio input (or the Ninja V monitor/recorder).

I have a ROKU streaming device and need to ultimately convert the audio in the HDMI output to RCA LEFT and RCA RIGHT as inputs to my 2-channel stereo and Sennheiser headphones (for late night listening). I fed the HDMI output from the ROKU to a Kanex Pro Audio Extractor. This extractor provides analog LEFT and RIGHT audio channel outputs via a 1/8" DIN female outlet. I used this product to give me TWO 1/8" DIN female outlets, one driving a set of DIN-to-RCA cables for my preamp ... and one driving a standard DIN stereo cable to the headphones. Clear as mud? :-)

Admittedly I only ever had a 4 channel behringer headphone amp prior. The behringer had connectivity issues with the adapters going from 1/4 to 1/8 trs. This beauty here, however, works flawlessly to allow me to monitor myself while the engineer oversees the mixing (or the other way around if I’m engineering). We use audio technica and beyerdynamic headphones with this little adapter with no issues. I’ve also used skull candy’s on these with similar success
