I got this because it was a requirement for my college dorm. I’m really happy with this surge protector. It has six outlets, feels well made, and the compact design makes it easy to use without taking up much space. The power indicator is also a nice touch, and I like that the switch is recessed so it’s less likely to get turned off accidentally. The 1,080-joule surge protection gives me some extra peace of mind for everyday electronics, and the wall-mounting slots are convenient if you want to keep everything organized. For around $10, it’s a great value. My only complaint is that the power cord is only 2 feet long, so it may not work well if you need to reach an outlet that’s farther away. For a desk, TV stand, charging station, or other setup where the outlet is nearby, though, it works great. Overall, a simple, affordable surge protector that does exactly what I need. Definitely worth the price.

I got this Best Buy Essentials 6-outlet (2 ft.) surge protector to replace a 6-outlet (3 ft.) without the added surge protection. I have some USB charging stations for phones, camera batteries, tablets, etc. connected to this power strip. I initially got it with my iMac in mind but as I did more research, it seems like 1,080 joules isn't enough for a computer. I still needed somewhere to plug in the iMac so it's plugged in but I know I can’t expect the proper protection given the joules rating. I am mostly using this outlet as a charging station. I placed this outlet in a high-use area, on the main shared desk at my house. Being from Texas, power outages are getting more common so it’s a no-brainer to get an outlet with surge protection for my frequently used electronics. My hope was that it wouldn’t be an issue going from a 3 ft. cable to a 2 ft. cable and so far it hasn’t been. My 3 ft. cable outlet always had some slack so I went for the 2 ft. cable and it fits just right. I realize I do prefer the 3 ft. cable to have a little more flexibility of where it ends up on the desk or ground, but in this case I was able to put the Best Buy 6-outlet extension on my desk by the iMac where I frequently charge electronics and it reaches right where it needs to be. I will be in the market for a proper surge protector for my iMac, but I’m glad to have this surge protector outlet for my other electronics that can benefit from 1,080 joules.

This unit is very good looking. It is easy to use and easy to store when travelling with it. The number of plug acceptances allows for several different items to be receiving electricity, and quickly plugged in. This unit is also solidly made. I am glad to have this six-outlet unit.

Unfortunately I returned this item but not because there is anything really wrong with it. I noticed that the cord length was only 2 feet but I needed something longer so I exchanged it for a different product that had an 8 foot cord, 4 outlets, 2 usb ports and 1 usb-c port. Originally bought this because it was only $9.99, good deal.

I purchased this when I bought my new TV due to the fact I will be fixing it on the wall in the bedroom therefore, we needed an extension lead that is safe with many outlets to use for the TV, Lamp, and eventually a sound bar. It was a great price at $10 - can't get better than that!

I bought two of these to protect my parents new tech. They have a new PC, new laptop and modem/router. The product feels solid and I really wanted a decent surge protector for the technology and devices. The cord is a little too short, as I didn’t notice that they were only 2 feet… but they work.

Seems solid built and works well. I use all the plugs with no issues.

Perfect cord length for my needs and just the right amount of outlets. Only complaint is that it is lightweight and does not stay put as well as my old, heavier surge protector.

I am glad the still make surge protectors with a straight plug that goes in to the wall socket. The flat side ones are nice but can be inconvenient for other things to be plugged into the wall.

Does the job. Its a power strip nothing more nothing less. Build quality feels premium for the price not too flimsy.

This surge protector does what I expect it to do so far. The outlets are solid, the on/off switch works, and the extension cord is long enough to give the user some room to maneuver in a tight space. I would recommend this to a friend.
