It works great. I like the color and that it blends in with the wood floor ok.

I got this Best Buy Essentials 6-outlet (2 ft.) surge protector to replace a 6-outlet (3 ft.) without the added surge protection. I have some USB charging stations for phones, camera batteries, tablets, etc. connected to this power strip. I initially got it with my iMac in mind but as I did more research, it seems like 1,080 joules isn't enough for a computer. I still needed somewhere to plug in the iMac so it's plugged in but I know I can’t expect the proper protection given the joules rating. I am mostly using this outlet as a charging station. I placed this outlet in a high-use area, on the main shared desk at my house. Being from Texas, power outages are getting more common so it’s a no-brainer to get an outlet with surge protection for my frequently used electronics. My hope was that it wouldn’t be an issue going from a 3 ft. cable to a 2 ft. cable and so far it hasn’t been. My 3 ft. cable outlet always had some slack so I went for the 2 ft. cable and it fits just right. I realize I do prefer the 3 ft. cable to have a little more flexibility of where it ends up on the desk or ground, but in this case I was able to put the Best Buy 6-outlet extension on my desk by the iMac where I frequently charge electronics and it reaches right where it needs to be. I will be in the market for a proper surge protector for my iMac, but I’m glad to have this surge protector outlet for my other electronics that can benefit from 1,080 joules.

This unit is very good looking. It is easy to use and easy to store when travelling with it. The number of plug acceptances allows for several different items to be receiving electricity, and quickly plugged in. This unit is also solidly made. I am glad to have this six-outlet unit.

Unfortunately I returned this item but not because there is anything really wrong with it. I noticed that the cord length was only 2 feet but I needed something longer so I exchanged it for a different product that had an 8 foot cord, 4 outlets, 2 usb ports and 1 usb-c port. Originally bought this because it was only $9.99, good deal.

I bought two of these to protect my parents new tech. They have a new PC, new laptop and modem/router. The product feels solid and I really wanted a decent surge protector for the technology and devices. The cord is a little too short, as I didn’t notice that they were only 2 feet… but they work.
